There was a protest on the streets of Benue today Thursday January 21, 2015  by some  residents of Gboko,Benue State over the assassination  of a popular Pharmacist  by unidentified gunmen.

  The deceased, Terngu Atime, was murdered on Wednesday's night by unknown gunmen.He was a popular pharmacist who owns a pharmacy shop in
Gboko community.

  Sources say the victim was a jovial man who was loved by many people in Gboko.Following his killing,residents of the area stormed the streets of Gboko on
motorcycles to showcase their anger with the killing of the victim.It was gathered that Terngu runs the largest pharmaceutical store in the area and was selling drugs at reduced prices to people as well dishing out free drugs to people who can not buy them.

  Commercial activities in the area such as banks and markets were adversely affected as the protesters march in large number with the chanting of songs.
