Please gurus in the house,I am about to buy a car but the dealer showed me a Duty paper paid for the whole container which comprises other cars.is that document enough or should each car in the container have its own duty paper?He said the car came with goods and other cars in one container.In the documents, it outlined the vehicles, models and total cost of duties. It was Tincan/Apapa cleared .

Vehicles shipped in containers (up to 4 mostly) will only have 1 document. All you will get is a copy for the most part. As long as the vehicle you are buying is listed on the document. you will be fine

To bee very sure, write the Custom reference number to Custom officer to help you confirm

YES. All the contents of a container are treated as ONE. That is why there is only 1 original that will be issued. All cars will be listed on one original document. Everyone cannot get original. Even if you clear RORO, you drive around with copies.

No shaking, you are covered as long as its a genuine document.

As pointed out by the other member, you can still do your due diligence and verify the authenticity of the document itself as you would if the vehicle is RORO. As long as that one is good, you are good
