A Private candidate sends his/her request for an amendment to
WAEC directly, while in the case of a school candidate it is the
principal who makes the request.
In the two instances, the original copy of the certificate should be
sent along with the application for amendment. WAEC charges a
fee for the amendment where it is discovered that the error
emanated from the candidate, otherwise, it is free.

Many people are having this same issue.
My question is, will waec issue a new certificate or will they edit the one with the mistake?

I'm not a private candidate, can't I request for an amendment without that letter from my school principle, I'm no longer in the state I wrote the examination.

No matter what don't edit your waec certificate. Can we apply at any waec office?

Waec will issue a new certificate after correcting the mistake

how can I go about this wrong DOB on Waec certificate 2013, I need it to be corrected for an interview process
