The de jure Gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party in Ogun State, Mr. Sina Kawonise, popularly called "SK" has appealed to his teeming supporters not to lose hope over the purported removal of his name as the Party's gubernatorial candidate, saying the injustice will be redressed very shortly as the matter is already in court.

He made this appeal in a press statement released in Abeokuta, by Ademola Osinusi, the Media Assistant of the SK Campaign Organisation.

He said the first victory has been recorded with the rejection of one Abolaji Sunmola by INEC as the purported candidate of Ogun Labour Party.

The unwavering, bold, Godfearing and articulate lecturer cum information manager urged the generality of Nigerians to contribute positively to the success of the General elections scheduled for February 14th and 28th, 2015 by performing their civic responsibilities relating to the polls.

Kawonise said all Nigerians are stakeholders in the electoral and democratic processes and thus must discharge their responsibilities and contribute their own quota to ensure a free and fair election.

In his words he said “This is a critical time in our National history and we must all act to ensure the success of the electoral process. We must shun violence and all acts that could imperil the process. None of us should do anything that will escalate tension and or engender crisis. And it is important for the people of Ogun State, particularly the teeming supporters of the Labour Party and those who have invested their faith in my candidacy, to continue to keep faith and not be distracted by the antics of a few individuals who were paid by my opponents to destabilise Ogun Labour Party from within."

"I want to assure them that justice will be done and the contrived crisis that threw up a candidate, or anyone for that matter, that never took part in the primary of the Labour Party and as such could not have become the candidate of our party, would be redressed in due course,” Mr. Kawonise said.
