not an excuse

Are you a policeman, Sir?
Or a driver?
They don't move with particulars, every other driver corroborated that fact when we got to our destination.
It is/was an "escort hilux". They only go about with a clearance letter, which we showed him.
When you don't know things, sit back and observe or better still - ask questions.
Thanks

CFCfan:

Next time you could take a mental note of the officer's uniform number and/or name, and file a complaint with the Commissioner of Police.
I have this conviction that the NPF are evil, do you know that the four of them - I couldn't pick out one name?
Why? Their name tags/number were artificially faded out.

As in ehhn kwa? Which kaind of official car won't move with particulars? This one is a new excuse sha.

Its a plus she was arrested. Even if nothing happens again, the disgrace she will suffer amongst those who know her will tag her till she is no more.
abi. Someone can steal the car and give same excuse

non of the above.

Give me the rule, law and link that Says a company car shouldn't move a particular?

Be it an escort hilux or not!

Cars owned by the manufacturer association of Nigeria moves with their particular.
What if the car got hijacked? The hijacker can give the same excuse?

NB:official cars used by government officials and security operatives in Nigeria also move with their particulars!

I don't trust/like policemen, and I think it's okay not to trust/like their spouses too.

I was travelling on Mon morning, just at the boundary between Abia/AKS...some randy policemen stopped us. First it was particulars - after the driver explained it's an official car and they rarely move about with particulars. He started complaining of the revolving light. Then he complained that the driver wasn't putting on his official uniform.

This took about 45mins, within those minutes - I watched them with so much disdain and anger, extort 100N from every single motorist. I didn't even know it was showing on my face, till one of them said I am looking @him like he's a monkey...

Probably her husband is even involved.
But any slight threat, you run to the same 'monkeys' to save you.

I never called him a monkey. I even found it very annoying that he made that comparison.
The fact that, they were extorting 100N from every motorist - including bike men, was my annoyance.

That is not a news as dog must find dog to marry.Police know them and they know the police.Having a Police officer's wife involved in receiving stolen item is not news.I can tell you that if you investigate most of the stolen cars in Nigeria, they are been used by the men on black or whatever color they wear now.Not surprised at all. They do not ask them for papers because na Dem Dem.

My sister, anybody quoting you wrong should GO and Die. What you said is the truth. Extortionist is their Name Tag Name. Even if you pay them I million naira every month, they cannot stop extorting money from innocent individuals. Only 10% of them are just not involved and are fine Police officers.

This is where the ant corruption war should begin and end. I say this because they form the vanguard and arrowhead of law enforcement. The excuse that they are part of corrupt society does not hold water because no criminal can be a check unto another. You cannot effectively influence another who is on same standing with you. Forget the old saying ' set a thief to catch a thief'.

Some of the residents who did not want their names mentioned said robbers had been terrorising them before they mobilised to fight the menace.'"; I don't see them blaming government but mobilized to fight unlike the lazy northerners who blame GEJ for every down sh!t. That is d different between alamajiri brought up and people who ar civilized.
