Nigeria is blessed with so much in terms of natural resources and
even human resources. What is therefore the problem with Nigeria?
We have often said bad leadership and enomous corruption in high
and low places. What can we do to change these vices and for once set
the nation on the path of progress? This is a case study for us.
Happy New Year in Advance to all.

Very simple

THE NIGERIAN PEOPLE ARE THE PROBLEM lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

If you were to deport all Nigerians and replace them with citizens or the UK or the US, then the country would be an economic powerhouse within five years with modern infrastructure and a good standard of life for it's citizens.

Nigeria is in the position it is because of Nigerians undecided

Nothing to do with the slave trade, the west or colonialism. Just Nigerians lipsrsealed

Empower the grass-root.
Educate and enlighten them on their rights.
Elect the right people to power.

it seems to me that we can change the situation by our attitude to
our nation as a whole. Its the people that can do this and it must be a collective resolve.
We dont have a punitive system that can guarrantte change and that to me is the
bane of the corruptive attitude by most Nigerians.
We see every opportunity as a means to an end. Our leaders steal and plunder our
resources knowing fully well that they are above the law.
Nigerians need an attitudinal change, play down on materialism and also see an
elective or political position as a call to service to Nigeria and humanity.

The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.
Justice from all form or evil manipulation, imposition, poverty and cruelty to the poor masses of Nigeria.

the problem with Nigeria is Nigerians - just check NairaLand and you will agree.
Re: Nigeria by Flancey: 2:15pm On Dec 30, 2008
I dont believe that it is a Nigerian factor. As a matter of fact i dont
believe in anything known as "Nigerian factor". It is the system that we must
pull down. We are a product of the system. Nigerians travel abroad and behave themselves
because of the system put in place there.
I have in many occasion seen foreigners disobey trafffic laws here in Lagos.
This is not to mention some dirty business deals carried out here by same foreigners.
The issue is we have a morally collapsed system where it almost seem illegal for you
to be law abiding.
My resolve is, we need to define the kind of country we want to have, encourage excellence
by reward and put in place punitive structures that respects no one. A big task but achievable.

@Flancey

most nigerians see nigeria as an enterprise to make money from and not a ccountry to build and serve because there is no sense of nationhood amongst its people

Until you solve this mindset u cannot make anything work in nigeria.
