Danhumprey:I beg to differ. The north africans are more about technique (algeria, egypt and morroco comes to mind). Southern Afican teams tend to play with pace and a little more flair(SA, Zambia). |

Remember when we played Congo in the return leg of the AFCON qualifier at PointeNoire,Congo. Even before the match was concluded and realizing that we've already won it,the Congolese fans started throwing objects onto the pitch. Such a disgrace! |

kobonaire:I agree too ....but dont forget that christianity and islam r not the only religions in the world. there is the african traditional religion and yes there r still africans who still believe in idols . who are we to tell them our christian or islam God is the only appropriate God?... I honestly dont have an issue with this juju stuff if thats also what smone else believes in after all that was what we practised long b4 the white man showed up here but I agree that no one shd b allowed to bring other figurines lyk u mentioned, bibles, wooden crosses to take the attention off the beautiful game. At the end of the day its different strokes for different folks . 2 Likes 1 Share |

edi287:And so far,in the past two AFCON,West African teams have shown that they are the football power-house of Africa. Hence using their style of play to describe African football as a whole, isn't quite out of place. |

Why do a lot of Africans give Europeans too much credit. We've seen worse in Europe where banana are being thrown on the pitch, fans chanting racial slurs, fans invading the pitch, Etc. Africa has hosted violence free tournament in previous years and what happened in Equatorial Guinea is unfortunate but it doesn't mean the Europeans or Americans are any better than us. People tend to criticise Africans in some negative way and what's more sad is some Africans believing we deserve to be treated like that. 1 Like |

@uzolexis I have been following your posts you're a patriotic LIAR. BLINDED BY LOYALTY to Nigeria thats know all over the world for many wrongs. Nigeria is not the holliest place on earth... Not so long ago Nigerian fans threw bottles at Eyptian fans in Aboon-ja. Agin one can't forget the 2-0 lost by Ngr against Cameroon where fans threw staff on the field... This EQ hooligansim thingy is nothing compared to what we see in EUROPE. We soccer fans know that not the likes of u who only watch futbol when Naaygayria is playing. |

Holly Nigeria accused South Africa of faking the number of dead people during the SCOAN incident. SA sent her own experts and specialists and found out SA was RIGHT. Few months later SA brought back to SA 76 dead bodies and were buried in SA. Yesterday SA brought back 11 decomposed bodies of her citizens...Wheres the truth Nigeria, what happened to your accusations |

yes it will be 9 off course no one is disputing that. As I said west africa unlike other regions is diversed linguistically and culturally. Still North Africans RUN AFRICAN FOOTBALL FROM CLUB LEVEL TO AFCON. FACT. The only people who think otherwise are old pricks like Idah Peterside of Nigeria who work part time for SA's supersport. In reality North Africa tops. kimco: |

Sometimes its good to BRING FACTS FOWARD FOR EMPTY VESSELS out there who are making noise. Just to put things in perspective. it sounds right for some to claim west africa tops African football whereas in reality its not the case.
