APC Set To Boycott Polls On March 28 And April 11, 2015 by isonlagba: 5:21am On Feb 08, 2015 |
Arising from an emergency meeting of party stalwarts in the wee hours of today, the APC has denounced the postponement of the Feb 14 polls saying that ''the PDP and INEC were acting out a well-rehearsed script written in Aso Rock.'' According to the party, the rescheduled elections, if indeed it holds, will lack credibility and will only rubber stamp the continuity of Jonathan's government. The APC insists on February 14 as sacrosanct and will not be a party to any change that will set the nation ablaze. The decision has therefore been taken to boycott the elections in its entirety and leave Jonathan and the PDP to perpetuate itself in power, bringing the nation to its knees. Although it is not clear yet, which of the elections it wants to boycott. The party has calls on other parties to boycott the rescheduled polls. Details are still sketchy, but there are strong indications that a parallel government is being considered. Which way Nigeria? 2 Likes |

Iyanusele: Your idiot president is putting elections on hold to allow Chadian army and its courageous generals to do in six weeks what his weak cowardly generals who are all billinaires could not do in sux years. This is obviously a joke and will attract another round of ridicule and insults to these most inferior of presidents that Nigeria has ever had. What APC decides nobody knows but I suspect Jonathan has no courage to face elections and is actually hoping for a constitutional crisis so that Obj 's ING becomes the solution. 20 Likes |

What's so special about Feb 14th. If you are so confident of victory, why not wait for 6 weeks after all the hand over date wasn't changed. They know that buhari's image is like a swine, no matter how u try to make a swine clean, it would still go back to its dirty state. Six weeks is too much a time, buhari's image and popularity will fizzle out and many undecided voters would rather stick to the devil they know. I thought they said GEJ was clueless. We now know who the dumbos of politics are. 34 Likes 1 Share |

samilo88: Jonathan is an inferior whose image has already taken a dent. He is being insulted daily locally and internationally and cant win any elections. It his government handling the war in the north east that has caused the problem we are taking about. Prepare for more insults and disgrace on twitter and other media. NNPC files are with APC and a lot will be released. The little northern support for Jonathan has already disappeared and I am telling you Dr Clueless will not be able to face elections. The NSA is the most powerful. man now but how to handle Buhari is critical for Interim National Government ...as for this A level zooligy teacher. he is finished. 9 Likes |

It will be a good idea if APC can find the courage to boycott the elections now fixed for March 28th and April 11th. Nigeria belongs to us all and any step taking to stop the impunity of an incumbent administration is a welcome development. Let's see how things unfolds. 3 Likes |

My understanding of the dynamics of this election is that most people have already made up their minds who they want to vote for. I don't see Jonathan benefitting significantly from any shift in dates. Those who have decided to vote against Jonathan are not likely to change their minds even if Abubakar Shekau is captured alive and the Chibok schoolgirls are rescued. And those who will never vote for Buhari will not change their minds even if Jonathan is unable to end Boko Haram. I may be wrong, of course, but that is the conclusion I have come to after debating intensely with pro-Buhari and pro-Jonathan camps in the last six weeks. Minds are decidedly made up. If you're honest you'll know that this is an uphill task plus our military has lost credibility. I'm sure GEJ will use the military for his return back to power. babyosisi: If you think that the voters card is what will bring back Jonathan then you're gravely mistaken. In response to the card going round. Come on six weeks ?? Six weeks ?? Are you kidding me they should as well force everybody to vote since they want to force everybody to collect. An extension of two weeks would've been more reasonable. Just in case you say they want to flush out BH, bring back the chibok girls and return IDPs. I'll end up asking you this. Six weeks Six weeks to achieve all these feats Something that could not be done in yrs will now be done in weeks. I laugh. GEJ will only prove to be weak and incompetent at the end of six weeks and then the alternative plan will be to rig the election. 3 Likes |
