If Bokoharam can be destroyed in just six(6) weeks, then who was holding the presidency back before. No reason whatsoever is credible at this moment to postpone elections. Lack of proper planning and facts amid total mediocrity is an evidence of inefficiency and failure in my opinion. I'm just burdened by the gross number of people that will have to suffer for possibly another 4 years. GEJ and his cohort playing Nigerians like toys since "he had no shoes". #GodBlessNigeria 1 Like |

oneilapoh:AU just recently agreed a joint military action against boko haram, is it PDP that influenced that decision just made? Chad, Niger and Cameroonian forces have just stepped up their battle against the insurgence, question is why is it now close to d elections that they've decided to do this? My bet is they have their problems n did not c BH as a priority but have had a rethink BC of increased BH attacks in their region. If d election is to be held on d 14th, d boko haram forces chased out of chad, Niger n Cameroon border towns will have a safe haven in nigeria, so its just logical to bombard them from the Nigerian side concurrently so they'll be crushed once and for all- its logically a security strategy to go on d offensive now. 3 Likes |

A so called man of God once prophesy that Jonathan will spend 7 years in jail after leaving office and asked him to pray against it. In as much as I don't believe in most so called nigerian men of God, yet I won't be surprised if this come to pass because of unfolding events. I was once pro-Jonathan. Now I hate the man with a passion because of his diehard stance. It shows that he doesn't have the interest of the country at heart. He is trying to drag d country into another civil war by postponing the election because he knows there is no way he will win this election this time. Whichever way he plays his card he will surely lose. What I know is that if war comes knocking he will be behind bar or killed after the war which we don't pray for. Even Obasanjo, a general knows when to throw in the spade. He should just go. To rule nigeria is no man's family heritage. 1 Like |

We can never be sure Boko Haram would be routed in the next six weeks — or even before May 29. After all, in 2001, US President George W. Bush declared the war in Afghanistan a success after just 10 days of bombardment — but this is 2015 and the war is far from over. It is impossible to put a timescale on warfare. Fighting Boko Haram intensively for the next six weeks does not come with a stamp of guaranteed victory. So what happens in six weeks if the war is still raging? Are we going to move the elections again? What happens if, after rooting out Boko Haram, the Niger Delta militants resume operations? Are we going to move the elections again? by:SIMON KOLAWOLE 1 Like |

MILITARY KILL TERRORISTS AT DAMBOA TROOPS of the 7 Division of the Nigerian Army in Borno State at the weekend foiled another attack on Damboa town with the killing of scores of suspected Boko Haram gunmen while some of them fled into Sambisa Forest by 5:00 p.m. Damboa is the council headquarters, and 87 kilometres south of Maiduguri, the state capital. According a Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) member, Habu Musa, the insurgents were intercepted at Kalla village, about two kilometres away from Damboa, when the troops of the Nigerian Army sighted them coming to attack the town. He said: “The insurgents, who sneaked in at about noon, were incepted by the troops, who swiftly reacted by firing artillery missiles and repelled them. A military source also said that their men in Damboa successfully foiled another attempt to take over Damboa, as they crushed the insurgents in the two-hour operations near the forest. “Yes, our troops in Damboa this afternoon successfully foiled an attempt to sack Damboa town, where they killed scores of the insurgents”, said the military source. Also, a resident, Mohammed Ibrahim in a telephone interview yesterday, said: “Many of the Boko Haram insurgents who attempted to attack this town at about noon met their waterloo as the troops of the Nigerian Army intercepted and repelled them at Kalla village on the outskirt of Damboa.” - See more at: http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/news/national-news/197234-military-foils-terrorist-attack-on-damboa-in-borno#sthash.UMZrYvDJ.dpuf 1 Like |

It's obvious FG is playing pranks with this election ish, the solution can't be achieved within 6 weeks nor will curb this insurgencies. The only way if FG really means business is to cut the supply from their sponson, hence the fight could be won. |

Nigeria is already being laughed at in the international community. If Boko Haram is still as active as it is now a week before March 28, then the government and our military would have succeeded in rubbishing whatever is left of their credibility. |

DAY 3 Is this a foretaste of subsequent days under Nigeria Army? Yes, but, that is not the strategy. Their strategy is hnged on Chad and Niger and Cameroun entering Nigeria cities within 6 weeks to liberate those cities. History is already judging those wimps we call NA |
