The Independent National Electoral
Commission’s (INEC) announcement of
Nigeria’s elections postponement was not
warmly welcomed by the US officials.

Secretary of State, Mr. John Kerry, expressed
disappointment over the dates shift saying:

“The United States is deeply disappointed by
the decision to postpone Nigeria’s presidential
election, which had been scheduled for
February 14.

“Political interference with the Independent
National Electoral Commission is unacceptable,
and it is critical that the government not use
security concerns as a pretext for impeding the
democratic process.”

Prior to the development of election postponement, it never matter what the US think about Nigeria. But now, looking over Nigeria from another perspective you see a country so corrupt that the image of the country in the eyes of other nations is being obliterated because of personal gains of some corrupt politicians.
