Didnt the bible say we should pray for our leaders?

Assuming Osibanjo takes the place of daddy GO, will this be his response?

I pity the flock this one pastors?

You should pity your self. The entire security forces which include the police, dss and civil defence say they cannot guarantee your safety and you are happy. You better go and get some big dogs to protect you. Only the northeast is secure for now.

I am really pissed about this postponement, I had collected my PVC locked and loaded to vote out GEJ. I don't know how long Nigerians will keep on being with a governnment of excuses, since I voted for GEJ, all I have been getting excuses, excuses and more excuses. If they are so confident about their vague and facade achievements, why be scared of ONE day election? INEC and nine other political parties said they were ready and its only the incumbent and incompetent pdp that is bringing up the security excuse. Let's not forget tHe fact that 75000 soldiers were sent for Ekiti elections which were allegedly rigged against 30000 sent to fight boko haram. When the late Gen Azazi said boko haram is pdp, he wasn't far from the truth. Destiny may be delayed but never denied. My fellow Nigerians , vote wisely...

briefness:

It is indeed obvious. Whatever is being plotted that is negative is bound to fail. Electorates have now realised that the power to hire and fire any leadership is in their thumb.

The problem with APC, their supporters, and indeed Nigeria, is that none of them addresses the FACTS! You all speak and act based on your biased primitive sentiments and emotions. Why can't you bring up the reasons INEC and the Security apparatus of the country gave for postponing the elections, and ask if they are valid, given the situation on ground. The people that are for GMB will still vote GMB, and the people that are for GEJ will still vote GEJ. For 'osunbade' to use this as a campaign gimmick demeans the integrity and righteous stance he claims. You all reason and act below the level of animals!

People can just as well ask him, how hard he has been praying for BH insurgency to stop and for God to intervene?

I'm sure he will be preaching prayer, supplication, fasting to his flock.....oh yes and tithes.

He is speaking as a politician, nothing more but then, that is what he is now. He now has a more profitable hustle.

Just spare us all these nonsense, the man is not your pastor, he's going for a public office and speaking as a politician.if you need prayer for Nigeria, go and meet ur pastor.

So he can't speak his mind as a responsible citizen again because he's a pastor?

The comments of some people and that of Osibanjo shows how miniatured their thinking and understanding of terrorism, for effective combating you don't forget intelligence gathering and the need to disarm their information link and resources which the military have successfully fought and conquered before the real combating, Nigerians should learn to understand a process before condemning it, terrorism looks so simple because APC is the opposition, have we also understood that there are many who still don't have their PIC Pastor please lets not keep inciting nigerians against themselves for your personal pursuit to the presidency. LEADERSHIP has never been an easy task.

you sounded reasonable until you took that mindless and thoughtless swipe @ others that I find hard to believe you're any better than. Hurling invectives at others especially on a faceless forum such as this is the gravest form of cowardice and a clear depiction of your morbid state of intolerance. This is nothing but a “tactical Coup”.

Can they guarantee us security in May 29, observed as democracy day in Nigeria, is the governorship and presidential handing over date.

The insidious unsolicited advice to INEC from Dasuki and his service chiefs is treasonous as they have been giving variously incogent reasons for their act.

“by causing the election to be postponed, the NSA and the security chiefs have staged a coup against the Constitution. They are liable to be prosecuted for the grave offence of treason at the appropriate time.”

“In a desperate bid to blackmail the INEC to postpone the election the NSA wrote a letter to the INEC to the effect that the armed forces could not provide security for the election because of the operations in the north east region.
“By writing directly to the INEC on the security situation in the north east region the NSA usurped the functions of the National Security Council.”

I want to think that it should be someone else reacting as above. This is because the statement that all security forces in Nigeria can not guarantee security in Nigeria is unfounded and not true. What the heads of security said is that with the ongoing military campaign in the north east, security for elections can not be guaranteed NOT that security of the country on a normal day can not be guaranteed. Political actors and indeed Nigerians should learn how not to drag the military into politics or unnecessarily heat up the polity. I believe what INEC and indeed all well meaning Nigerians want is free, fair, credible and peaceful elections. Not the type where there may be few security around and political thugs will hijack ballot boxes/papers or force persons to vote against their wishes/free will. There should be adequate security for INEC personnel, election materials, observers and voters. Let the real votes count. NO to rigging of any sort

Lol what is this one saying? Obviously from what you wrote, it's difficult for you to clarify the difference between the two

I definitely agree that it was unreasonable to postpone the election!!! Is anyone afraid to lose? Was february 14th a bad date? Are there really security issues that will interfere with the electoral process?? This "fear of the unknown" excuse is just too lame!! May God help us

Nigerians are wiser now. The Changetrain does not slow down, does not stop and does not change course. Even if its GMB that as much as hint reluctance to abide by the laws of the Changetrain, we will throw him off and hire another operator. So the earlier GEJ accepts his fate, the better for him.Afterall, the electorates HAVE TO reserve the power to change their leader if they don't want him. That is part of the contract we signed with him in 2011.That is what is NORMAL because we are not in a dictatorship . To rule no be by force,so let him ALLOW us to VOTE him out. We'll thank him for patriotism later.

Thats is my point, he is speaking as a politician, not a pastor.

Its funny that the prospect of power an money changes some people. I dont need any pastor to pray, but I bet he has told many to pray for God to intervene in situations. When the end of BH may mean he will not get to become VP and access to all the perks.......the rules change.

In other words he is a flip flopper and a hypocrit. Many others such as Rev Jesse Jackson and even MLK straddled between religion and politics.....no such hypocisy with them though.
