All members of the CAF Executive committee save Hicham El Amrani (Gen. Secretary) have thrown their weight behind the leadership of Issa Hayatou and perhaps endorsed him for another term in office. This same committee has Unanimously resolved to back the candidature of Joseph Sepp Blatter for the FIFA presidency at the elective Congress of FIFA in 2015 a decision reached as early as 21 September 2014.
