Ibb's Hidden Treasure by Odeku(m): 1:10pm On Aug 23, 2006 |
Some sources of General Ibrahim Babangida’s stupendous wealth have been revealed. According to sahararareporters, Mohammed and Aminu, Babangida’s sons, own Fruitex International, London, an oil exploration company. It was registered, with number 4216189, to number 53 Marlborough Hill, Flat 4, London, NWC ONG. The house is owned by Beaumont Group Limited, care of Ashley Wilson, Solicitors, 19-21 Grosvenor Gardens, London, SWIM OBD. Fruitex, according to saharareporters, owns a rich oil block, “Block M” in Equatorial Guinea which is worth $8.2 billion. Registered in May 2001 with share capital of £400,000, Fruitex started with two directors, Mohammed Babangida and Susan Scott. In 2005, the directors increased to three: Mohammed, 34 years old; Scott, a British citizen and company secretary, 49, and Aminu Babangida, 29. When saharareporters traced the company to Rod Johnson, a US representative, he insisted on receiving advance questions before he could respond. When he was asked to explain his relationship with the Babangida, and the interest of Fruitex in Irving, Texas, where his office is located, the company’s website (www.fruitexlimited.com) was, according to saharareporters, “shut down.” Mr. Johnson refused to respond to all inquiries. Recently, Mohammed was arrested by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC) over his alleged ownership of 24 per cent shares in Globacom, owned by Mike Adenuga, one of IBB’s friends. Mohammed’s release was secured by General Aliyu Mohammed Gusau, a former Intelligence Chief under IBB and, until recently, President Olusegun Obasanjo’s National Security Adviser. http://www.thenewsng.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=1434 |

Re: Ibb's Hidden Treasure by Odeku(m): 1:56pm On Aug 26, 2006 |
Its not a crime to be smart, but its a crime to defraud the nation of billions of dollars, if only he can invest 1% of his stolen wealth in Nigeria we will be better off, prime example read this story. Oprah open a $40 Million school in Africa, and we have people like IBB with his money starch in swiss account. you guys that are pro IBB are making me sick to my stomach http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/africa/08/25/koinange.oprah.otsc/index.html |

Big B1 , why don't you go find a guy rub up on bomber clot, you always looking for attention, this is serious matter not jokes, we will stop IBB at all cost |
Re: Ibb's Hidden Treasure by BigB11(m): 10:23pm On Aug 29, 2006 |
The problem is not IBB, the problem is Nigeria and the entire Nigerians. We are so quick to point finger and find an easy way out. The state of mind of the entire population should be restructured. Stopping IBB alone will never never solve our problem. There are many others who are worst in every way than IBB and can't wait to do the same exact thing IBB did, but in a systematical way. Keep in mind that the same people that produce pencil also produce eraser, Wake up. EFCC will make noise and rumble the dust, but at the end of the day nothing will be accomplished, Do you really thing EFCC will stop corruption in Nigeria? I don't think so. Do you know the root of corruption in Nigeria? You sound as if IBB was the founder of corruption. Find a better method, a reasonable way to reform the country and stop making this annoying noise about IBB. Corruption has been around before IBB and will continue to exist, even after IBB. Go ahead and double check some facts about corruption, Starting from Nnamdi Azikiwe to Awolowo, OBJ to MKO, Shagari to Adelakun/ Adelabu and so on, Do not waste your time, instead, you should come up with a better and solid strategy. FYI ODEKU: I will be a big fool to be seeking attention from an empty headed dude like yourself, Please get a life, you're not even close. |

@ big 1, i am not tired of the so-called noise. we've always known he stole massively from us but we couldnt do anything about it. we were content, thankful, he managed to step aside. now he wants back in and this time we recall his multiple sins and we say NO!!! NOT AGAIN. |

@bagoma Amen to that ! |
Re: Ibb's Hidden Treasure by joshO: 12:30pm On Aug 31, 2006 |
All this one na long thing, I say we tie to a stake the highest profile looters in Nigeria, IBB, Abdulsalami, Danjuma, Atiku, Gwazo, Akhigbe, Dalhatu etc and line up the shooters, This may be the only language Nigerians will understand and may serve as a major deterant, curruption is so deeply entrenched that it will take more than words and superficial policies to eradicate. A fundamental reconstruction of our collective mindset is required. I like the desperate measures being adopted by EFCC though as it's the next best thing, even the judiciary is so currupt it's unbelievable, all those SANS and judges (except the likes of course of Justice Binta, Olisa Agbakogba etc, ), I tire. |

www.saharareporters.com People you've gotta to visit this website to see the unprecendented exposure of corruption with documentary evidece. Wow. you can even register to get the their newsletters and freely download explosive documents from their e-library. This is Africa's smokingun.com! ON THE TRAIL OF BABANGIDA’S BILLIONS http://www.saharareporter.com/dn001.php?dnid=117 -Saharareporters, New York Of all the big beasts roaming the Nigerian political firmament in expectation of taking over Aso Rock post-May 2007, none comes bigger than the man they call IBB. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida elicits mostly negative emotions from Nigerians, not only because of the eight barren years he spent as the nation’s military head of state and self-styled President, but more for what most consider his brazen audacity to think he can come back under a democratic dispensation after the harrowing experience his leadership put the nation through in those years (1985-1993). |
Re: Ibb's Hidden Treasure by Jakumo(m): 11:32am On Sep 01, 2006 |
Jakoko speaking of big beasts roaming Nigeria's political Serengeti Plains, anyone who relishes witnessing a good duke-out will not have much longer to wait as The Buffalo (Obasanjo) and The Rhino (Babangida) have progressed from snorting and hoofing dirt into the air to circling one another for the grand Locking of Horns. Under withering attack, lesser wildebeest like Mike Adenuga have already galloped free of the battle arena to make room for the main event. Stay tuned folks, and don't forget to hunker down for cover when the Big Rumble starts. |

ODEKU: You are such a brain-washed dolt, it's incredible to know that people like you still exist in our society. Come on, lighten up already, it's 2006, Stop thinking like a bush uninformed grown man. Could you point out one single Nigerian leader that didn't steal or take care of his folks? I keep telling you that we have leaders (both ex and current) who are worst than IBB, As a matter of fact many of them are preparing to take people like yourself for another ride in 2007. IBB is being used as a decoy to distract dolt like you, Very soon an OBJ clone will be planted in Aso rock for the next president. And what people don't understand is the fact that 3rd term is still alive. The implementation of 3rd term will be carried out indirectly by planting an OBJ clone, who will be controlled by OBJ. The IBB drama is being overrated to put you guys to sleep while the OBJ implements his 3rd term plan indirectly. Keep in mind that he tried to implement this plan directly and he failed, He's now using his plan B strategy and I think so far it's working, the narrow-minded are buying it. You keep pointing finger at IBB as if he was the only and only Nigerian leader that has ever stolen, I've you ever thought about why EFCC is not pressing the other ex leaders as heavily as IBB is being pressed? 1.Buhari 2.Shagari 3.Gowon 4.OBJ (international Thief Thief) 5.Abusalami or what ever he calls himself 6.Shonekan 7.Mawa 8.Odelli 9. Kalu and many many more. Do you really think these folks did not steal? Do you think if the implementation of the 3rd term bid was successful, IBB will be heavily pressed like this or Vasta issue would have ever come out? I've said this before, you can not be simple and understand Nigerian politics, you've got to be bright. You can paste 200 pages of IBB propaganda story if you want, I'm not impress till all ten fingers are treated the same way. Nobody is painting IBB as a saint, but it is only fair to check the records right, They are all the same, if OBJ could get a chance to come back to redeem himself, IBB deserves one too. Note for ODEKU: I'm sick and tired of your single or two lines insulting comment, Grow up and let's utilize this forum effectively. May God bless Nigeria. |

Big B1 na lie nonsense! remember that in 2007! IBB is a big big thief |
Re: Ibb's Hidden Treasure by joshO: 12:40am On Sep 02, 2006 |
IBB is crook personified. He is the face of dubiosness in Nigeria and must bear the brunt of the ills in our society today. The reason he still has a lot of followers despite his economic and political atrocities is because many (the sycophants) that sorround him today were beneficiaries of his largese , or those that missed the boat the last time and hope to benefit in his second coming. He is a symbol of everything that is wrong with our country. I'm glad he is aspiring to rule Nigeria again. He who the devel seeks to destroy he first makes mad. In very short order, this evil and currupt dictator will meet his waterloo. Nothing will be more gratifying. |
Re: Ibb's Hidden Treasure by GNature(m): 1:01am On Sep 02, 2006 |
@BigB1 I don't think Odeku is necessarily undermining the looting of the treasury by folks other than IBB (which you have rightly listed). The thing is everyone knows that the looting done by IBB is unprecedented in the history of Nigeria. What makes matters worse is that he wants to come back to power - this is so damn shameful. I am all for the bashing of IBB by Odeku because while we may not be able to make him accountable for all the corruption and other attrocities committed during his adminstration, we can atleast have a say about the future. Everyone - SAY NO TO IBB IN 2007 ! |

All the money these idiots stole should all be taken from them.Take away their houses and all the ivestments they have made with all the peoples money.I like to know what type of job ibb son has ever done in his life-none. Here is a fool who ruined Nigeria before now trying to raise his ugly brain drained head to be president again? Why multitude of my brothers and sisters suffer in the motherland, these idiots moves and act as if the wealth of Nigeria is their father's property. Open your eyes and smell the coffee. Here is a dictator and tyrant that cancelled an election, left the political sphere in Nigeria in turmoil and now want to be president again? If the allegations can be proven, i say take all from him. |

Re: Ibb's Hidden Treasure by BigB11(m): 11:18pm On Sep 02, 2006 |
IMAGEMAN: obviously you're very upset and I feel you. But you're totally missing the point, There are many many other idiots (as you say), that did worst than IBB and they are still chilling and travelling all over the world while your sisters and brothers are suffering, This is not new, this has been going on before IBB, At least IBB is bold enough to be asking for a second chance to redeem himself, You've got to give him credit for that. Fact: IBB doesn't have to be the next Nigerian president to steal more money, It is just much more easier for him to steal from his Minna mansion, believe me. IMAGEMAN, I know that you're already up and you've smelled the coffee, but now you need to chew some kolanut, so that you can see clearly. IBB is not the only thief in Nigeria, he is just one of the million, I'm not impress till they start probing all of them, including OBJ; that is the only way Nigeria as a country can move forward. What they are currently doing with IBB is called mind game, They are all link, don't be blind-folded. The first phone call on IBB's birthday (08/17/06) came directly from OBJ to wish him happy birthday. Bashing just IBB will not take us anywhere, These people find it very difficult to implicate IBB because they all belong together, they are from the same tree. Fact: Every single current governor / government official is corrupt. How can you ask me to point out the smelly man when I still have $hit in my a$$, My Point: there is no clean animal in the cage, they are all dirty, period. Could you please point out any African president that has a child that works hard for anything? Let's face the reality, it is part of your benefit as a president to spoil your kids or use your position to setup a pleasant future for them, Hence don't blame or hate IBB Jr, that is just the way it's done every where. Don't waste your energy hating on IBB, he's just another Nigerian try to attain his goal. May God bless Nigeria. |
Re: Ibb's Hidden Treasure by superman(m): 12:55am On Sep 03, 2006 |

Re: Ibb's Hidden Treasure by babadee(m): 6:03pm On Sep 03, 2006 |
IBB bashing is a popular pastime in Nigeria but we should start looking beyond IBB and examine the society that created such a personality like IBB. Yes he stole, Yes he messed up the Nigerian state so do we keep on yakking about it or start doing something? like saying a big no to his 2007 ambition which i still find hard to believe he's even contemplating. |
Re: Ibb's Hidden Treasure by joshO: 2:22pm On Sep 04, 2006 |
I don't know what 'Aremu TransCorp' stands for, but we have this habit of confusing and bluring arguments about serious issues like curruption. I don't know what transpired @ TransCorp, but I know Nitel is not the only organization to be privatized but has been the most controversial because people are now using it to score narrow and selfish political points. Many hotels, industries have been privatized, for much less than their value, yet TransCorp is an issue only because Atiku and his thieving band of thieves @ ACD have nothing else to hold on to. I tell you, IBB deserves all the condemnation he is getting and this is only the begining. An example needs to be set of this high-profile beast to serve as a deterant to others. There are many animals in the beast, but IBB and Atiku are definitely amongst the dirtiest. Getting rid of these self-sentered, money-laundering thieves is most befitting legacy and parting gift OBJ can bequit the nation. |
Re: Ibb's Hidden Treasure by Odeku(m): 6:31pm On Sep 04, 2006 |
Big BI How old are you? why are you so blind and see how people are suffering in Nigeria, In the history of Nigeria, no other person or president had done what IBB did to Nigeria, Not even Umaru Dikko, just hang tight, we will exposed IBB to the world. read this How can one bastard slowpoke like IIBB greedy steal all this loop, and there is no name attributed to this accounts, just 3% of this stolen starch by IBB is enough to change millions of people's life in Nigeria. Oprah just build a school in south Africa for $40 Million, Imagine what this Trillions will do in Nigeria, and yet, this fat neck slowpoke smiling and getting fat by the minute. http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2006/sept/02/national-02-09-2006-01.htm |
