The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested the son of the deposed Adamawa State Governor, Abdulaziz Nyako over the looting of the state’s funds.Abdulaziz, who was last week declared wanted by the EFCC along with his fleeing father, was picked up by operatives of the commission in Gombe State and was brought to Abuja Saturday evening.The Head of Media in the commission, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed the arrest of the former governor’s son and said that he was being questioned at the Abuja office of the commission.Abdulaziz is being quizzed in connection with the sum of N15 billion and other sundry sums being traced to five of his companies.Details later… http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/02/n15-billion-fraud-efcc-arrests-nyakos-son-abdulaziz/ |

Weak minds will start reading political motives into his arrest. If we could be more concious about how our state and local government allocations are spent we would have been singing a happier song. The fight against corruption is not for the federal government alone. The state, local government and even we the citizens all have critical roles to play. Each day is an opportunity for us to be less corrupt, let us seize the opportunity and fight corruption head-on. #GEJtill2019. |

His father gov. Nyako was one of the military generals that failed this country when military was in power. Gov. Nyako also failed as politician, he was a governor for more than 7 years but was impeached for mismanagement of fund. 2 Likes |
