Tunde entered the room, and from the way he
looked I assume he did not want to be seen,
sneaked into his children's room to be sure they
were sleeping. He smiled as their body moved slowly up and down and wished with every part of his heart that it would remain so. He so much enjoy the peace they had; Peace, they only get in sleep when their always-hard-to- please mother is shuffling complaints and abuses down their throat. His face creased as he remembered they will never be happy until their mother dies.
Tunde gently closed the door , and headed for his
room.
Nothing could be heard in the room except the grandfather clock in the parlour which has ticks that sound like drops of water that an empty tank emits. P.H.C.N had taken the light when he was coming home which made it hard for neighbour to see and greet him.
Tunde gently climb the bed and crawled to his
wife's side as if he was going to kiss her; she
opened her eyes and smiled- I can tell he receives
that type of smile only at night from the way she
was staring at him- he smiled back, pain reflecting
in his eyes, he climbed her as she brought up her
hand to caress his face. He bent to kiss her while
his hand was fiddling with the second pillow on the
bed.
Like a lightening, the fastest I've seen, he brought
the pillow and placed it on her nose, suffocating
her. She fought for her life and tried to tear his
hands off the pillow and shook her legs on the bed as body cried for air but he was stronger, and so
thirty seconds later, her body went limp. As I write
now, I can imagine the victory in his eyes as he
completed the mission of killing his friend and his
wife, who were cheating on him. He left hone and joined the mourners especially his children to cry over the death of his beloved wife.
