Wow.. Is that the man's bone?! The Hippo tore his flesh outta its place mehn, gosh!
Wel, if you'r used to Animal Planet, then you'd know an Hippo's bite is not something you should ever play it. Force exerted by an Hippo during bite is great. If i remember clearly, its among the top 5 powerful bite with a Croc's topping the list.
Wish the man a quick rec man, pele.

These are wounds from the leg of a fisherman brought to our clinic after engaging in a fight with a very big hippo. According to our patient, the hippo attacked and destroyed their boat. He engaged in a fight with the hippo for over 30 minutes b4 finally escaping.
I will upload pix of the wounds b4 and after surgery. The surgical procedure is called debridement (surgical removal of dead tissues and foreign bodies).

According to my chief consultant, a bite from a hippo is more poisonous than a snake's bite.
But take am easy na...how can u say a hippos bite is poisonous ? Hippos are dangerous animals but their bites are not poisonous at all o. Remember there are health practitioners that may be lurking around this forum and you don't know who may just be laughing at ur comment now.

While I feel sorry for the man, it is unethical to post pics of medical cases online sir especially graphic ones such as these. That's what makes the medical profession unique otherwise we would just go on and upload every surgical case to 'wow' the public.
I am sure the permission of the patient was not even considered before this post was made.So much for patient confidentiality!

Hippo bites are deadly because of the excessive amount of bacteria they harbour in their mouths, bacteria from the bite can kill you quickly by leading to a serious infection that affects more than just the bite area.
