Nigeria zip code is 234 Take care

Are u sure Nigerian zip code is 234? I used it once but was rejected. I thot that one is the international phone code?

Well papas, there surely has been some sort of confusion over this issue of zip code.
I also have been using our GOOD OLD 234! for like "all my entire life" before I got bounced by one of the sites i was trying to register on. It makes me want to wonder if the information I've been leaving on net has been false evr since. Well thats not much of my fault.
Had to search and surf before I was able to get it.
And the more surprising thing about it is that it varies from city to city and even within some cities locations or street is also a factor.
Talk about learning, it never stops. Just when you thought you knew something, then, 
The good thing is that there are sites on net where you can get your zip online by specifying your counrty, city and street. An example is

To satisfy my curiousity, I embarked on finding the true meaning then of 234, turns out its our International Phone Code sometimes used as Int. Postal Code.

Nigeria may not have zip code but we have post code and you can check your post code from http://www.nigeriapostcodes.com/views/

Nigeria's zip code is 234, then u add ur city's code. Ibadan for example is 23402, lagos-23401

23401 in 5-digit format. There are times that the 3-digit format won't be acceptable!

234 is dialing code and not a posta code

Am really confused with this Zip code, but atimes i used +234 and many often it was rejected,
and what bagfuls me most is that, i mostly worked things one net, subscribes to many things
am interested in, but on the run they will ask for my country's zip code and if i don't provide it
properly, then i have to leave that site, Trust me am not Happy with that at all,

Truly, Nigeria Zip Code is not as same as the phone dialing code. The new nipost portal you rightly posted above got all states covered, including the LGAs and communities zip codes.
