It's obvious PDP intends to do something dubious and that's why they are against the use of the card reader. Opposition say we gallant, carry card reader come but na incumbent dey fear, what exactly is their problem with the card reader?

The card reader was used in Sierra Leone successfully and even our own INEC gave technical support and advise to the electoral body in Sierra Leone so wetin Ebele and PDP dey fear?

Olisah Metuh said yesterday that no opposition should try and manipulate them out of power when obviously it is them that wants to manipulate their stay in power but God on our side, Ebele is going and a new government will be sworn in on the 29th of May.

I choose "change over stasis.

The next 2 months will be the most important months in Nigeria's history after the civil war. My fear is the bad guys just don't go to bed when their evil ways go under serious threats like the use of the card readers and PVC for the upcoming elections. I so much believe they have been boxed into a corner this time though.

With Ocean Avenue's 2 Minute Miracle, you can dramatically reduce the time involved in your daily skin care routine while still receiving the benefits of an exfoliator, cleanser, toner, pore minimizer, hydrator, and primerin one easy-to-use, two-minute solution.
Exclusive 3.1 Skin Complex
Antarcticine®
Discovered in 1988, Antarcticine® has recently come to light for it's bioprotective properties. In nature, Antarcticine serves as a protector of small micro-organisms, shielding them from the harsh arctic conditions. Now imagine utilizing these bioprotective properties to protect your skin from the harsh conditions of everyday life: sun damage, pollution, poor diet, and the inevitable signs of aging.

How does our Antarcticine help your skin's appearance?

There are several beneficial skin effects (such as wrinkle reduction) due to Antarcticine®'s ability to help the skin retain water and prevent dryness common with aging. Antarcticine® also aids in the increase of collagens, as well as elastin, which improves firmness, decreases the signs of wrinkles, and creates overall healthier-looking skin.

Scientific results: Antarcticine® also stimulates fibroblast adhesion and keratinocyte growth, meaning regeneration of tissues and faster wound healing. Statistics related to this: Fibroblast adhesion increased 125% in 5 hours and Keratinocyte growth 25% in 24 hours and 36% in 48 hours after Antarcticine was applied to the skin.

Aloe Extract

Aloe is a self-sustaining ingredient with the ability to thrive in the most brutally hot and dry climates due to the components which feed it internally. We've taken our aloe one step further than traditional delivery methods due to the way it is processed. Our aloe is harvested, picked, and processed right on-site within a critical two-hour window to ensure quality. Processing aloe within this time frame is the only way to take advantage of the product in it's most powerful form.

It is then processed through our proprietary, patented process which locks in the naturally-contained carbohydrates, proteins, and amino acids (aloe provides 20 of the 22 human required amino acids and 7 of the 8 essential amino acids). Aloe also contains salicylic acid that possesses anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. All of this in addition to minerals, enzymes, sugars, and vitamins that have all been harvested at their optimal levels due to our patented procedures.

How does our Aloe Extract help your skin's appearance?

Aloe helps your skin in a number of ways: mucopolysaccharides aid in binding moisture into the skin, amino acids soften hardened skin cells, zinc acts as an astringent to tighten pores, and aloe's moisturizing effects are second-to-none.

KBGA (Klamath Blue Green Algae)

KBGA is naturally grown in an area that has often been referred to as the most mineral rich place on the planet: Klamath Lake in Oregon. KBGA contains what is considered to be a perfect amino acid panel (all essential and non-essential amino acids). It naturally contains glutathione, minerals, vitamins, and the list goes on. We have an exclusive source of this KBGA for our 3.1 Skin Complex which you will not find in any other product.

How does our KBGA help your skin's appearance?

As we mentioned earlier, amino acids aid in softening and restoring your skin. With the complete amino acid panel found in KBGA, you can rest assured you are providing your body with the most complete, natural source on the market.

Strong winds are raging against the credibility of the coming general elections, following reports of moves by some unscrupulous politicians to stop the plan by INEC to use Smart Card Readers to determine the genuineness, or otherwise, of Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) to be used by intending voters during the exercise.

The smart card technology is the principal instrument that the Independent National Electoral Commission has procured at a huge cost to the nation to ensure that dishonest politicians do not flood the nation’s 119, 973 polling centres with fake PVCs to rig the elections. Yet, some political actors, for certain questionable reasons that cannot be in the best interest of our electoral process, are strongly determined to ensure that PVCs presented by intending voters at the polling stations are not checked to ensure that they are genuine. To further undermine the importance of the PVCs, the same political interests are insisting that PVCs should be jettisoned while Temporary Voters’ Cards (TVCs) are used for the polls.

We are appalled at this grand design to fight INEC’s plan to ensure that fake cards are not used to rig the 2015 polls. Is Nigeria to be perpetually cursed with manipulated elections? As far as we are concerned, it is only dishonest politicians, who intend to rig the elections with the use of fake PVCs that should be afraid of the card readers. The machines, which will make it impossible to vote with forged cards, will give Nigeria the opportunity to exit the cycle of rigged elections and should be welcomed by all well-meaning citizens. The INEC should, therefore, be resolute and resist the pressure not to use them.

Stopping the use of card readers to determine the genuineness of PVCs will lay the elections open to manipulation by power-hungry politicians and Nigerians can no longer brook such wanton tampering with the electoral process. We have had enough abridgement of the rights of the people to choose their leaders. Only those who have genuine PVCs should be allowed to vote. The use of forged PVCs for the elections will be criminal and the best way to prevent this is to ensure that all PVCs are checked using the card readers.

The plan to stop the use of card readers is yet another indication of the growing desperation of some politicians to win the impending elections at all costs and by all means, fair or foul. This scheme, that has apparently been on the drawing board for some time but is now expected to gain momentum following the postponement of the elections, is nothing but an ambush of the plan to clean up our elections.

We find it extremely difficult to understand what any honest politician or political party could lose if people whose cards are found to be fakes by the card readers are barred from voting. Nigerians, ordinarily, should be interested in instituting the necessary processes and systems to   increase the credibility of our elections. We ought to design a   comprehensive plan to help put the days of election rigging behind us. The use of technology is one of the ways by which this is done in most serious democracies where allegations of vote rigging have become rare, and Nigeria should not be an exception.

We, therefore, unequivocally support the use of the card readers for this election, and enjoin those politicians who are opposed to it to give the technology a chance. It is the best decision that Nigerians can make at this time to end the sad story of flagrant manipulation of elections in the country and INEC deserves commendation for the initiative. We also commend President Goodluck Jonathan for releasing the funds for the equipment. His approval of funds for the machines is an indication of his commitment to free elections in the country.

For us, there is really nothing for those who have genuine PVCs to fear about the card readers. It is a simple instrument that will help ensure that no strange cards are used to vote to compromise the integrity of the elections.

Luckily, INEC has started the public education of Nigerians on the use of the card readers. A senior official of the electoral agency was on national television yesterday, explaining the use of the technology and how it will help to improve the transparency of our elections.

Considering the many allegations of rigging that have always marred our elections, and the fact that this technology is expected to help bring a new day to our electoral process, we advise that it should be embraced. We should not only embrace it, Nigerians should commit themselves to cooperating with INEC officials and others involved in the electoral process to ensure that we get the best out of the machines. This, certainly, will be in the nation’s best interest, because we have already committed huge sums to their procurement and we need the service for which they were bought.

The onus, however, now rests on INEC to make sure that the machines are available and operational all over the country. The agency must fine-tune all the plans for their use and ensure proper training of the personnel that will handle them. The equipment must be test-run and certified okay before the election days. Let there be demonstrations of the use of the card readers via all media of communication in the country to assure the electorate and the honest politicians that they have nothing to fear.

Let there be a fresh resolve to ensure credible elections on the part of all stakeholders in the best interest of the country. Certainly, we have to move forward in the quest to clean up our electoral process. We cannot forever say no to the use of the necessary technology for our polls. Only dubious politicians who cannot muster the requisite electoral value need fear the card readers.

If PDP does not have need for PVC, why did they allow the government in power (PDP) to invest heavily on it. There is no way PDP will complain of what they thought would give the nation a straight look in a time as this. Can you guys give this government a thumbs up for once? This government means best for the nation, just that some people don't want to hear about it, or talk about it, because they want power either by hook or by crook. Anyway, looks like they have seen that propaganda has failed.

I have never seen or heard Jonathan advised his supporters to pick up their PVCs. Buhari on the other hand tells his supporters to pick up PVCs anytime he is given microphone to talk at campaign venues.

The part in bold is a very good observation, and it shows that GEJ and his campaign team knew very well that the low collection rate of PVCs in GEJ's strongholds (SS/SE) and the high collection rate in Buhari's strongholds (North) only indicate the BIG difference in the level of motivation and desire to vote between those who would vote for Buhari and those who would vote for GEJ in the forth-coming election.

The vast majority of those who will vote for Buhari are people who simply want to see the end of the clueless and incompetent govt of GEJ.
And wherever they are, you would see them so intensely MOTIVATED and so resolutely DETERMINED to vote in the election, come rain, come shine, that they do not even need anybody to nudge them to collect their PVCs!

If you talk to ordinary Buhari supporters, whether in the SW, North, MB or even SS/SE, you would be instantly convinced that they are REALLY motivated people, who strongly, some even fanatically, believe in what they are going to vote for.

On the other hand, many PDP supporters, even people from GEJ’s stronghold of SS and SE, are people who are by far LESS MOTIVATED, and too disinterested to even collect the PVCs, talk less of enduring a greater hassle and risk of venturing out to vote on the election day.

So in reality, the extension of the PVC collection period would do VERY LITTLE to save GEJ from the big electoral defeat that INEVITABLY awaits him; many of his SS/SE/MB/SW supporters who voted for him in 2011 are now so disillusioned and disappointed with his government that even if you deliver their PVCs to their doorsteps they would NOT collect them, talk less of coming out to vote.

This simple fact combines with MANY other changes that have taken place in the political dynamics to effectively SEAL THE FATE of GEJ; He is DEFINITELY going to lose the coming election BIG TIME, and there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING an Asari Dokubo or a Tompolo can do about it!.

I think there are many IT experts in Nigeria, also China or Taiwan is available for cloning of manufactured IT products. The contracts for PVC and other heavy budget items used by INEC are awarded at the very high level of Nigeria political structure. INEC is not completely independent as the name implies. As at the last time (2011) a major IT firm with a popular brand name in Nigeria was among the companies that handled the temporary ID ICT infrastructure contract. This type of contract is beyond the sole power of INEC in reality. Politicians from both executive and legislative arms of government play each other in this type of contract. Prof Jega must accept responsibility, therefore, he cannot come out to tell the world the politics of contracts award at INEC as controlled from executive and legislative arm.

Anybody reading this piece with connection to anybody in INEC should verify what I have just posted. My former boss lost a huge contract at INEC due to this connection at the high place problem.

Now, having postponed the election, I believe it is easier for those who designed the card reader or those who know the parameters of verification as encoded in the logic controller chips and other technical think -thank team that are involved in this card reader to have cloned the card readers and even the PVCs as at now or before the election. Afterall, there are intellectuals and money in the land, China is available.

Instead of PDP telling their supporters viz masses to go collect their PVC, they end up attacking opposition. credit should be given to APC for the PVC awareness, they sponsored lots of campaign even more than National Orientation Agency. PDP are their own worse enemy. I watched lots of PDP campaign, only at very few occasion;it was mentioned.
