johnydon22: they were wise to skip it. from the bible Jesus was not born from the natural coming together of man and woman but the holy spirit came upon Mary and she was with child. so bigfrancis might be right but the race of Jesus Christ doesn't really matter cause before his ascension into heaven he implored his apostles and disciples to preach the gospel unto every creature(Jesus wasn't racist)..evidences show the apostles preaching in Africa,Asia and Asia minor...so Jesus' race shouldn't be an issue...he embraced all races. |

Rennee: OK, so let's drag the virgin into the discussion. How can a virgin give birth to a human being without receiving milk from the nutsack of a male human? Can a male human being impregnate the wind? Did the man shoot the liquid from a distance to preserve her virginity? I don't blame you. Women must be smarter than men for real. Imagine a girl standing in front of her father and telling him that it was God and not a human being who impregnated her. Tufia!! 3 Likes |

Iluv: Lol! I was force-fed a lot of poo while very young. You didn't get me. The bible is nothing but an anthology of fictious books to me. My mention of grave was intentional and aims to point out that I didn't believe the story of Jesus being buried in a tomb. If he did the tomb would probably be housing the first Christain church now or used as a holy ground. But, no, we don't have such because fictious characters aren't known to be buried in real tombs. Whether he was black or white or green is no business of mine... 3 Likes |

Black people of the world, we need to rid ourselves of this pale white hippie image that has clouded our memory of who and what we are. When you see these images and statues in the homes of friends and family, kindly ask them to remove it. You are not asking them to rid their beliefs, but rid themselves of the false images and race propaganda set against us as a people. 2 Likes |

Ibime: You are aware that the Ethiopians have a Jewish group of people known as the Falashas right? What if they are the original jews? Their practises are much older than any other Jewish group existing today. In regards to Arabs, which Arabs? There are many black Arabs in Oman, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, etc. and those countries are truly Arab. Countries like Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, etc. don't possess "true" Arabs. 2 Likes |

this is what happen when people cut English classes in school, they distinguish between simple literal style of writing. not everyone damn word is meant to be taken literal. Abraham was from the city of Ur Mesopotamia, modern day Iraq. the people in this part of the world are Semitic Caucasians. Africa is the only continent you'll find back people. the only race that comes close to African blacks in skin color are the Australian aborigines (but they have straight hair). but scientific discovery has shown that white people are even more genetically closer and them. long story short Jesus was not black not even close he was a middle eastern, his color doesn't matter 1 Like |

The world debates the question: "What race was the Messiah Jesus?" But the answer is clearly laid out in your New Testament. Let's check it out.. 1. Act 13:1 . Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon who was called Niger ,and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 Niger of course in Latin defines the word Black "The etymology of the word 'niger' is from the Latin word for 'black'. In botanical nomenclature, where the species name is niger, this indicates that some aspect of the organism is black 3. Simeon was the brother of Jesus Matthew 13:55: "Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simeon , and Judas?" Mark 6:3: "Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him." 4. So, if Simon (Simeon) was called Niger meaning black and is the brother of Jesus then guess what? Jesus is black too! kobonaire: My guy, like I said, I believe in taking responsibility for one's actions but it is not that simple. I personally detest people making excuses for their failures and not taking responsibility for them. I believe one should keep trying in spite of those standing in one's way. Nobody said life was fair. We have nobody to blame than ourselves; however, that does not mean that others are not enablers of our shortsightedness. Here's how - 1. Oil gets stolen from Niger Delta by the shipload. Who buys them? 2. A popular politician becomes wise and wants to kick against colonialism. He ends up dead or his puppet opposition gets funded miraculously. 3. Why are all the French colonies in Africa, 14 countries, still using a currency dictated by France? CFA's value is pegged to the Euro, which is controlled by the European Central Bank. 4. African politicians steal money and invest where? 5. Nigerian politicians steal money and hide it in which banks? 6. Why is China re-colonizing Africa by buying and tying up all our natural resources? What happens when we need access to the resources or realize that the cheap money they gave us has been mismanaged? 7. Who is going to deal with the long term effect of the oil spill in the Niger Delta? Assuming the Nigerian govt does not know any better, can the same be said for the foreign companies that operate in Nigeria? Can they try the same thing in non-third world countries? Like I said, ultimately, the responsibility is ours and caused by our greed and shortsightedness but there are others that are complicit. I just wish we can be strategic for once and see past our nose! |

Those who called themselves Jews in Nigeria just got their claims simplified... Now they will have ancestral links directly to Jesus when this write-up is fully ripe. |

ddefoe: You are confusing jewish and jews. The so-called Ashkenazi Jews never refer to themselves as Hebrews; it's Israeli or Jewish. These words, Jewish or Israeli are not in the scriptures. These terms are used because they know that they are not the original Israelites. That's why they never say that they live in the land Israel. They use the term, the State of Israel. The word "Jew" itself was a nickname for one of the black tribes of Judah (Genesis 29:31-35); and other people (Go-Ee, Gentiles), who were not Hebrews, but managed to adopt the way of life of the black tribe of Judah. 1 Like |

Re: Jesus Was A Black Man by Ibime(m): 8:55pm On Feb 20, 2015 |
Fulaman198: Leave the one sided perspective boss. A true Arab is a Berber. If you picture Muamar Gadaffi, you should know what kind of skin colour the Jews of Jesus day would have. The OP based his claim on Jesus hair looking like wool. Do you know any black woman that can wash your feet with her hair like Mary Magdalene did to Jesus? African hair cannot do that. The Jews of those days were olive skinned and would not look out of place in Greece or the Mediterranean. Hence in all of Pauls travels through the Greek towns of Corinth, Thessalonia and Ephesus, no mention was made of his skin colour. If Paul was black, it would have been noted in Greece that he was a nubian. The Greeks have always identified Nubians as Nubians in all their writings long before Jesus was born. 2 Likes |
