WHY PA OLUSEGUN AREMU OBASANJO HAS JUMPED POLITICAL SHIP IS THE NAIRA : NAIRA = Never Allow Igbos Rule Again. By : Woko Eze Icon, 17th February 2015. There is an Igbo adage that says "A man who does not know where the rain began to beat him cannot say where he dried his body". The rain that beat Nigeria began as far back as 1914 (the amalgamation). But let's fast- forward that date to 1960 (the independence), and 1966 (the first military coup), you will observe that Nigeria was already soaked. Well, let me go directly to the main reason for this article. It should be recalled that sometime in 2013, Pa Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo vehemently opined that "those asking him to join the APC should seek adequate medical attention immediately". The question you will ask me is: "where is Obasanjo anchoring his political ship now: APC or PDP?" the answer is APC, at least you saw what he did to his PDP membership card some days ago. What may have prompted a well respected man like Pa Obasanjo to jump ship at this critical moment? The answer is that Pa Obasanjo left PDP since 2012, but hanged around to frustrate the federal government in a bid to keep the 1973 agreement (I will tell you about it). For those not familiar with Nigerian history, let me remind you of some events. In 1966, there was a military coup (the first ever) in Nigeria led by Colonial Chukwuma Nzeogwu (an Igbo man born and brought up in the North). The aim of this coup was to eradicate the wide spread corruption amongst Nigerian political office holders by eliminating the politicians, but the coup ended up claiming Northern top politicians as its casualties, this led to a counter coup by the Northerners, Chiefs among the pioneers was, Murtala Mohammed, Yakubu Gowon , Danjuma, Mohammadu Buhari (the 2015 APC presidential candidate) and supported by Olusegun Obasanjo (note that I intentionally removed their military ranks). This counter coup is the bloodiest coup in Nigerian history, claiming the lives of Nigerias first military head of state Gen. Aguiyi Ironsi (an Easterner ie Igbo man), the governor of the then Western Region Lt. Col Fajuyi (a Yoruba man), and many other innocent citizens. During the Northern counter coup of 1966, there was a continuous massacre of all Easterners in the North and West (both military and civilians) for over 6 months. The Easterners pleaded with the North to shield their sword and embrace peace but the plea went to deaf ears. The Easterners concluded that since they can be no longer safe in Nigeria that it will be best for them to declare their own country and live in peace within it. This was the birth of Biafra and the beginning of a bloody civil war in Nigeria. The civil war started in 1967, and by 1970 about 40% of the Easterners have been murdered by the Northerners and their Western allies which Obasanjo and Awolowo was in the forefront. The war ended in 1970, and was a pyrivic victory for the North and West against the East (Biafra). And the victors gathered together to take an everlasting spoil on their victims (the Old Eastern region) . This was the agreement that was nationalized in 1973 With a new currency : the naira! And Obasanjo became the head of state 3 years after that (in 1976, after Murtala Muhammed ). After the war it was agreed by the North and West that on no account should an Igbo man (any body from the Biafran region) rule / lead Nigeria again. This was symbolized in the national life through the new currency (the naira). In 1973, the then head of state Gen Yakubu Gowon scraped the currency that was in use (the pounds) and replaced it with a new one (the naira). Naira is an acronym for = Never Allow Igbos Rule Again. From 1967 till 2009 (42 years) nobody from the old Biafran region ruled Nigeria (as agreed by Obasanjo, Awolowo, Gowon and their cohorts) but in 2010 God personally thwarted their plans and brought president Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan (a man from the old Biafran region) to power, to lead Nigeria but the anger of the powers that be was kindled (can they fight God?). They started camping against him, and today Obasanjo has declared support for the 1973 agreement (the naira), against president Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan. Mr. President sir, What hurts them so much is that you don't walk in the old ways... • It HURT them you ended their subsidy fraud… • You sold off NEPA and ended their fraudulent NEPA contracts, it HURT them…. • You removed ghost workers from civil service and reduced their wealth, it HURT them… • You refused to renew their oil blocks license monopoly, it HURT them… • You handed NPA verification to a third party and eliminated port frauds, it HURT them... • It HURT them you stopped the bootlegging in fertilizer distribution… • You HURT them by stopping hoarding of petroleum products, where Nigerians sleep at filling stations while they make astronomical profits... • You pinched them where it HURT most by making sure elections are free and fair… • You HURT the cabal by looking into their face and telling them “Nigeria belongs to us all”... • You restored rail system that gulped billions of naira yearly, it really HURT them… • You made Nigeria proud by insisting cars are now produced in Nigeria with 70% local content, halting their money laundry schemes, it HURT them… • They have bullied you, lied against you, insulted you and made Nigeria insecure just to distract you and be able to get back to business as usual…But I promise you sir, they will not bully our votes! • We will go to the poll blindfolded for you…for their wickedness when they get what they want this time will be too costly! * I pray that any other Obasanjo troubling your government shall break his/her membership card in Jesus name.... Amen! VOTE PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN COME 28TH MARCH 2015 FOR A NEW NIGERIA. It is very clear now that President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan is winning the war against principalities and powers, thereby liberating Nigeria from ancient courses cum chains of godfatherism. Nigeria is free at last! 11 Likes 3 Shares |

When you people are busy painting your bullshit conspiracy theories at least try to be consistent...... weren't some of your people saying Obj intentionally placed Goodluck beside a sick Yar'adua to ensure that Goodluck emerges president upon Yarádua's death? Did Obj not campaign vigorously for Goodluck in 2011? isn't it a fact that this same Goodluck secured more votes from the north in 2011 than even in his own south south? The truth is Obj has contributed far more to Goodluck's success than people of your ilk....... the major reason that Goodluck is even struggling to win the coming election is because of people like you and your stupid conspiracy theories. Keep telling these stupid stories and watch your candidate lose horribly and then what will you do? Jump ship to the new president and continue your psycophantic adventures. 4 Likes |
