The Deputy Majority Leader,Leo Ogor(PDP,Delta)moved a motion on the need to summon Jega to the next legislative day debate.He said"Mr Speaker,colleagues;we all know that INEC postponed the general elections last week,and as a law making body,it is our responsibility to invite the institution to let us know its level of preparedness as we move towards the next scheduled dates.The point of order if passed should be taken on the next legislative day." The motion when put to question was rejected with a resounding 'nay',mainly from members of the new majority party'APC',who obviously have not been happy with the postponement which had nothing to do with INEC's preparedness.
