* Critics of his regime were thrown in jail as was the case of nigeria's most popular artist Fela Kuti who was arrested on the 4th of september 1984
* Buhari made a decree that banned strikes and popular demonstrations and he also introduced the NSO which played a wide role in cracking down of public dissent by intimidating, harassing and jailing individuals who broke the interdiction on strikes
5.Buhari is one of the worst dictator in nigeria his regime drew the critics of many including Prof Wole Soyinka, who in 2007 wrote a piece called The Crimes Of Buhari
6.Buhari in 2011 gave support to enforcement of sharia law in Nigeria
7. Buhari is the back bone of Boko haram
8. Buhari quote: if what happened in 2011 should again happen 2015, by the grace of god, the dog and the baboon would all be soaked in blood
9.Buhari quote in 2001: I will continue to show openly and inside me the total commitment to the Sharia movement that is sweeping all over Nigeria, god willing, we will not stop the agitation for the total implementation of the sharia in the country
