Insurgents attacked at Gaya village in the Hong Local Government Area on Thursday, 19 February. The insurgents attacked Gaya village in the Hong Local Government Area of the state on Thursday, February 19, Punch reports. Boko Haram members reportedly also burnt several buildings in the community before escaping from the area. The attack was said to have been precipitated by the military operation which resulted in the takeover of 11 communities from the insurgents. "You know that that community is in the border area just by the Sambisa Forest,” a security source reportedly said that, those who attacked the community were dislodged from the Sambisa Forest by the ongoing raid being carried out by the Air Force and the ground soldiers.
