While the unrepentant pessimists have been fabricating unpleasant information to dissuade some weak-minded folks from expecting anything good from FAAN. This is how best to categorise the new trend of discussion on this thread. We now have the 'genuine group' of concerned informants and the 'pull him down group' (who specialises in sharing the figment of their unsavory imagination). Instead of pouncing on information from both end and getting yourself unnecessarily worried. I advise you to choose which of the groups info to read and believe. *Just saying*

Called one of their staff I collected his phone no @ the Lagos centre yesterday, he said all have been suspended till after May 29th, I now asked him what's the possibility of this whole process been disrupted by the incoming administration, he then kept mute. All I believe in is that he himself does not have the final say on that. Let's just keep praying, hoping and having faith in God. I don't believe the APC government can actually disrupt these whole process done in accordance with the Federal Character Commission code of conduct. Patience is the key.

I disagree with this my guy! because
1. NIS test hold this week.
2. Air force will open their site for application submission today
3. I will say it again that this recruitment has nothing to do with May 29th.
so tell me, if FAAN has been suspended y will others proceed their own recruitments.

My friend I served with at Lagos now works in faan. I asked him to call his mom also a top staff in faan, she was part of the interview committee . His mother said that the list has been compiled and sent to the ministry for input from the minister. Most faan staff don't know about the appointment letter so don't put to much faith in what people are saying. I pray everything will be concluded before May 13 since that is the last day the president will sign any memo. She earlier said faan were looking to recruit 750 candidates out of the 3700+ candidates that were interviewed.

Sorry they Need 750 from each zone .... E.g 750 from Enugu center, 750 from Lagos center and so on, I can categorically tell u that enugu after all of the processes from Pft to d end.. Applicant did not show up for pft until the third day and as at the third day enugu center hasn't recorded up to the number of those that should report for the pft and those that reported, not all survived the pft as some of u will attest to that cos am a living witness even 3 of my friends did not make it to d interview only two of us did. Faan targeted 1500+ applicant for the pft in Enugu but some did not show up and those that did..( )... So what they should tell u is that 750 is what they need from each center cos that is what I was rightly informed by ( )...... Please don't ask me who... If u wanna doubt it go ahead, but u should not rather go back to where u get ur information and get it well....

if u get to the interview stage and u are able to

1. Talk well and not beat around

2. You are up to the required height

3. You convinced them even if u answer is mad.

4. You dressed well.

5. You present a good CV

6. You walk well and u are straight

7. You received a mssg after ur pft (successful mssg) not corner mssg.

8. Your doctor reports were confirmed and found accurate.

9. If you did not get the after schedule mssg for pft but got the schedule own

Trust me u are good to go.... But if u fall short, sorry.

Weldone my brother and I love ur thinking..... When he ( ) told me initially I looked at the posibilities and I couldn't find it and I will still say to u that it will certainly not up to that but I put it to u that each center were to produce that number. Ask me I never argue with the official cos at the moment most of the people to be recruited will definitely come from the junior staff from my thinking...... Whatever decision they wanna go with no problem... Let us keep our finger cross and watch them do what they know how to do and how they gonna do it....


Right from that center..... I was personally told its 750 that will go through from enugu center...... How possible is that I don't know........ I stayed in the same hotel with most of these Faan official and we all dine together and drank together all thru the night and the result of the PFT passed thru us in that hotel and trust me u won't wanna know what happen in compiling those Pft results to the intervies level....... Trust me u don't wanna know.


But the 750? I can't explain that is the truth but 100% crystal that they want that number from Enugu.

Now listen good! what do u know about mass recruitment? do u know d rationale behind d recruitment? are u conversant enough to know that fire department alone want more than that UR so call figure? are u current enough to read from the Internet the words of DG himself that FAAN is GROSSLY understaffed? are u aware they now have less than 600 Fire men, Far lesser than ICAO's 1500 minimum requirement not to talk security yet? are u aware that btw 2012& now there has been airport remodelling are new ones built without any recruitment till date? are u aware that there was mass retirement in FAAN due to pension board consolidation stuff? are u aware that the situation was so fussed over that they had to reengaged d retired personnel again?
I can go on and on like that based on available info to everyone, except that u people only just assume things without proper investigation to know situation of things.

They should be right cos most people that will be employ too will be posted to even cargo airport and all of that and they further told me about so many new airports been built and staff( security and Fire) will be taken there.... Exactly the way he spoke u just did....


I was told that Enugu center was expecting 1500+ for Pft and that 750 is just what was needed from Enugu alone and told us we should strive and reach the interview stage and be smart with our answers which they said were just formalities but all points gathered from pft till that interview stage will be used to judge us....


Above all the 750 is what they needed and if by ur points which Is similar with his that means 750 it is then.....

This is actually what we sat down and discuss and trust me height will take people down..... Am not here to tickle anybody or pass information to make anybody happy but these are facts and were handed down to me......

Like I will always tell u people in here, if the information does not come from Faan yet just be patient enough cos it will come and u all will smile.... I mean those who got to the interview stage cos Faan needs hands to join them....

Don't ask me further question cos I won't talk I only gave this hint to clear the other guy about the numbers they needed and told him to GO back to where he got that information to get it correctly cos he did not listen when it was been passed to him.....

HERE :

Each centers will submits 750 final names of those to make it...

4centers x 750 = 3000 and the total targeted after Pft was 3000+ and after the pft as at on Monday 18 march they had 3700 interviewed across the 4centers which they expected to rise up to 4000 but sorry they never got that 4000 and above all....... 3000 will go thru and they will definitely come from Security and Fire as the majority.....
