Another attack was launched on 31st December in Abuja, killing scores of people. So far, a total of SIXTY attacks have been carried out by the insurgents killing more than 15, 000 Nigerians including Women, Children, Politicians, Soldiers, Policemen, Politicians etc. They have in their custody lots of kidnapped victims and has territories controlled by them .

Madam Petroleum Minister Diezanni Maduekwe was indicted by the Presidential Committee on Subsidy, indicted by the House of Reps and whose NNPC is accused of not remitting $20 billion to the Federation Account by then CBN Boss Lamidi Sanusi/Or $10 billion according to Iwaela, she is still holding forth her position in the Cabinet. Rather, whistle-blower Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was disgracefully kicked out of Office for "offence yet unknown".

5. The First Time That Judges Will Be Beaten In Their Own Court By Thugs

Not even the military era did such happened, not even the administration of Chief Obasanjo, not even that of Musa Yar Adua, but it happened under Jonathan. In Ekiti, Judges were beaten in their own court for their speedy hearing of the suit against then Gov-elect and PDP Candidate Chief Ayo Fayose. The Candidate wasn't arrested nor was the court re-opened with full security for the judges until he was sworn in. 2013 is indeed a sad year for the Judiciary.

Prior to the election in Ekiti State, Two Governors on the platform of opposition All Progressive Congress- Amaechi and Oshiomole had their authority and rights as citizens of Nigeria impeded when Military Personnel prevented them from entering Ekiti state. On the day of the election, Chieftains of the APC were arrested in what the media called a clampdown. In osun State election, the Publicity Secretary of the APC was arrested on the day of the election by the DSS "because he was seen at night", also arrested were other chieftains of the APC on election day. Prior to both elections, APC Chieftain Mallam Nasir El Rufai was held in Awka on election day and kept under House Arrest by the security Agencies. All these was unheard of during the election rigging tenure of President Olusegun Obasanjo or any other administration.

Buhari faults crackdown on Boko Haram

Presidential candidate for the Congress for Progressive Change in the 2011 Presidential election, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has frowned on the emergency rule in parts of the North. He alleged that innocent civilians were being killed in the states.

Buhari speaking during a Liberty FM Hausa Service Programme, Guest of the Week, on Sunday in Kaduna said that Boko Haram members were being killed and their houses demolished unlike the “special treatment” given to the Niger Delta militants by the Federal Government.
