This is a very dicey topic and I really like to stay out of some topics as it doesnt define me but the truth must be said.
There has been a rise in women bashing generally on this forum and i think we are allowing our women to be defined by stereotypes laid out by a few set of people. Inasmuch as the sites needs traffic and we need to praise the originality of the threads and its numerous posters, nailing our ladies to the cross doesn't do justice to that fact.
Women have been abused, bashed and called several disgusting names yet men still go after women, marriages still happen everyday. Most of those posters could be right with their threads but i find it worrisome when people with a contrary opinion are gang-attacked brutally and silenced. This is usually endorsed by the mods. I once had a contrary opinion to someone's post on women and gold digging, while I didn't disagree with the post in its entirety and my comments were misunderstood i was placed on a ban.
No human could thrive without the opposite sex. I imagine a world filled with men and I imagined one filled with women and realized none is mutually exclusive. We have guys that are prostitutes, gold diggers,LovePeddler etc but constant portray of those vices as a woman thing only makes it look offensive. Maybe we need to tone it down a bit, not denying the fact that some women do such but for every bad lady there are thousands of bad guys. For every offensive action by a lady there are a lot more by guys. The ladies on nairaland shouldn't be the sacrificial lambs for some immoralities perpetuated by women.
In conclusion women are sweet, loving, caring and I have a lot more of them around me. I believe its same for the crusaders championing the women bashing threads. We also have a lot of women who are doing well in the society and are hero's in their own rights. I wish to see more threads that will extol our virtues and praise the uniqueness of women. Every man has a right to choose who he wants to be and associates with, it should be same for women also afterall each and everyone will face the consequences of their actions whether good or bad.

Saying the truth is a tough job but someone has to say it.
criticisms, attacks and bashing is allowed, we can't all agree on same issue
