The All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, is seriously surprised with the recent allegations that he is part of the plot to hand over to Bola Tinubu.



According to the claims by President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign, Osinbajo will resign and in favour of the party national leader Tinubu, if they win the upcoming elections.

The country’s major opposition party has already responded to the accusations calling them “sickening and outlandish”.

With the story having gained popularity, Muhammadu Buhari’s running mate found it important to comment on the allegations.

Speaking February 28 in Ikeja, Lagos, the politician was quoted as saying by Premium Times:

“I don’t know where people get their story from. Let me tell you, there is no way in the world I would do such a thing. This (serving Nigeria) has been a passion that I carried for all my adulthood. Let my distractors find more meaningful things to tell Nigerians.”

In a Saturday statement signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, the party expressed confidence in their candidates saying that all the attempts to tarnish their reputation would make them only stronger.

“They have thrown everything imaginable at Gen. Buhari, but he has continued to wax stronger and stronger: They said he was not qualified, that he was too old, then they fabricated a medical report of an illness of their own choice, sponsored death wish adverts against him and instituted a myriad of court cases to stop him.

“After they failed to stop him, they went after the election itself, using the PVCs as a tool to launch a campaign for postponement and, when they realized that would not work, came up with the bogey of insecurity in the North-east to force a postponement of the election, hoping they can buy enough time to revive their electoral misfortune.

“With everything working against them, they engaged in a show of shame at The Chatham House that backfired badly, on the heels of their bare-faced lies that Gen. Buhari was hospitalized in London. The preposterous claim of a secret oath – reminiscent of what they do in their own party – by the apparently ailing spokesman of the Jonathan Campaign Organization, Femi Fani-Kayode, is their latest desperate act.”

It is worth noting that Buhari’s visit to London was surrounded by controversy from the very start.

First it was about the accusations that the APC candidate travelled abroad over sickness and was deceiving Nigerians about his good health. Then the comments were emerging about the London speech itself.

For the loads of trash coming from FFK and co. One begins to reason that western education does not in anyway add to one's competence and capacity to function as a sane human being which can then bring us to the inference that Buhari's primary school education might be enough after all.

Jonathan,FFK, Okupe, Reno e.t.c have not in anyway justified the money spent on them to obtained to so called degrees.
