bloggerina: IMO, online reviews should be taken with a pinch of salt. Most times, they are exaggerated. 2 Likes |

Same thing with me. I worked all of February remotely from the US (used Fuze and skype for meetings), mat leave was to start March 1 since EDD was 13th (but my baby came on March 1) and then I resume remotely in June and physically first Monday in July, altogether 5 months paid leave. And then 3 months of resuming 1hr late and closing 1hr early. I used to get up at 4 or 5am (10/ 11am naija time) and work (meetings or responding to emails) till 11/12noon (5/6pm naija time). It worked out well for me and everyone else involved. I was able to work this into my contract when I joined this company 2yrs ago cos that's what I had with my last job when I had my son. nefertitiram: 1 Like |

Phema: Thanks. I called the BA number you dropped on the forum to make the addition but when i got to AA desk on the day of my departure, they insisted i paid 200$ or they wont carry the 3rd bag and that i should call BA to process a refund if i feel cheated. I nearly missed the flight on that day self cos the AA guy i met on the counter said my baby's name was not listed on their manifest for the local leg of the journey to Dallas and that its only listed on the Dallas to London and London to Lagos flight. he later called one of his boses who told him a baby doesnt need a ticket to travel within America. I got to Heathrow and spoke to some BA customer service staff and both of them said its not included in his ticket that my baby is entitled to 23kg. See me see wahala o! After paying 305$ for the ticket. I was given a UK number to call BA customer service desk on,so i ll call and see whats up sha. |

bloggerina: I can personally attest to fact that those negative reviews are wrong. Many people on this thread have used her and twas all gud. I think shez fantastic. HEr staff wEre great too. That's my personal experience. I wld def recommEnd Dr Huynh anyday. How can you say they are wrong and want us to believe your personal review? 15 people posted their reviews on that website only about two people have positive things to say about her, so 13 people are all making things up? 4 Likes |

New York may be one of the most expensive places to give birth (if that matters.) |

Good morning everyone,i just want to confirm if it's adviceble to contact Dr Martell or Dr Monticone(both doctors work @ Del sol medical centre,el paso) directly,to be used as a proof of burden for visa application, since there's a silent controversy about using Doctores parati as proof of burden. customised87: When you bought your baby's ticket, did you check to see it was routed to Dallas? My baby's own had Phx-Dallas, Dallas-Heathrow, Heathrow-Lag written on it. Anyways, keep following up for a possible refund. Hopefully, you will get your money back. |

Hi. I don't know if anyone has answered you but i was in NYC Dec and I got my baby's passport same day.. fortunately, my SIL who I went with knew someone there so he expedited the process..All u need are: 1. Consent letter from both parents(it doesn't matter if you are both present) You will still be requested to write it. 2. Data pages of your passport. 3. Pre- registered confirmation form.. just google that.. 4. Payment of about $80 electronically..(you will take confirmation along) 5. Processing fee(Money order of $30 That's about all. If you need to get asap, you might be asked to pay another $60 for expedited.. Oh, be ready for one Madan Igwe or so, can't remember her name..She kept on rambling and rambling leaving her duties just to come and be gisting with all applicants! bbaby84: |

Fizzywah: Wow.......This is not a good review at all. OMG!!!! And I intend using her though. Please who has used her in recent times. How true are these reviews and reports? Hope she has changed? Is she really bad? Please anyone who has ever used her please say something to help us. |

bloggerina: @bloggerina, Thanks for this because I was getting a little worried as I plan to use her and have scheduled my appointed with her. So far I have had a good conversation with her staff. They specifically told me they reply to mails on tuesday and thursdays, thats the way they work and I understand. So far they have responded to my mails promptly on those days. Reading all theses reviews got me worried, but my hubby said one thing how true are these reviews, one mans meat is another man's poison, you know how foreign people like to give reviews of people and products, he insist I use her and pray for a positive experience with her. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Oga justwise, there r gud reviews there too. Una no see dat one? Again, I repeat, I have experienced Dr Huynh's services personally and will def be using her again (if no awoof package like mihs former price gets published). I did NOT experience ANY of the negative things mentioned in those reviews al all! She was professional, very thorough, kind, answered all my questions and she insisted I do all the tests on her ob-package. She accepted all my naija test results and deciphered things in my ultrasound that my St Nicholas gynae didn't even sniff at all. I come from a family of doctors so I am not a learner on medical practises. Pls do not discredit a good doctor because of reviews only. On one of my visits, we all waited for her for over an hour. Her staff gently explained dat she was called in for a stat c-section (emergency) so we all waited patiently and when she returned, she apologised. Wetin remain? She has been with WHMC for 13yrs so she must be doing smth right I guess. I still remember the names of all her staff and I got some nice freebies from her office too. Anybody can write online reviews so don't base ur decisions on dem alone. Just my personal opinion/experience. Hope it helps. Cheers! 8 Likes |

bloggerina: Hi bloggerina, no one is discrediting her. Reviews are subjective and are meant to give peoples opinion on a subject. I like the fact you're backing her as you've used her services before. I just thought to share info I stumbled upon. Please I need info on accommodation around cypress in Houston particularly from anyone who's used Houston NorthWest and Dr. Glen Morgan before. Many Thanks. 2 Likes |

For the benefit of those looking to come to N.Y. Il be using wyckoff heights medical centre. Got the following quotes from them: *maternity package for selfpay is $6500 includes hosp fee, doctors fee, paed and anaesthesia *$130 per doctors appointment (I don't intend to go there if I don't have any complaints sha) *I paid $120 for all the lab work (my doctor rejected all the tests I did in Nigeria, accepted only the scan reports. *$241 per scan done The financial lady.. Christine is awesome and very helpful. She said she has worked with over 60 naija mums, so she know exactly all we need... zero balance statement and all. PM me if u need any clarifications. From what i know you have to pay the fees at the womens health centre so you can be registered in their system and also see a midwife. You don't see a doctor until you are about to deliver. I'll like to know how you were able to see a doctor, thanks. |

I paid the $130 for first doctor's appointment... I meant I MAY not need to go for the next one if I don't have any complaints (just expressing my thoughts) Sorry I didn't count the no of tests, but I did all the doctor ticked off on the form.... (doctor took sample for PAP smear and chlamydia herself) I had to go to Christine's office to clarify on the cost before proceeding with them. |

About not seeing a doctor before delivery... I've never heard of that before, you definitely need to see your doctor to access you. Please go to the guys at front desk of the women's centre. They will assign you a doctor, or you get to choose if it's not a busy day. |
I was wondering,my test were also rejected and it cost more than $120 for all the test i did. Its not a doctor that accessed you at the womens health centre, its a midwife that does it on behalf of the obgyn. Its only midwifes they have at the health centre, you can confirm the next time you go there. I have had 4 different appointments there and i also spoke with christine. |

The name of my doctor is Dr Shirley webbe... I remember the dietician mentioning to me that I had a very good doctor when she saw her on the corridor. She was quite busy running from her office to the theatre and had a medical student following her about. She gave me a two weeks appointment. |

I guess that day was my lucky day. I will double check even though she introduced herself to me too. I later saw a nurse who documented my records on her computer. She also told me I had to see her even though I had seen my DOCTOR! |

customised87:Thank you so much for sharing this, mama's using BA , lets take note, something very similar happened to us in 2013, my husband is entitled to 3 bags on BA, we (hubby , me and LO ) where travelling to Nigeria from LA. We had to pay $200 for my husbands 3rd box when we got to the airport. AA Said they can't verify that he is entitled to 3 boxes, that made it 7 piece ( husband's 3 boxes, my 2 boxes, my LO's 1 box + carseat). When we got to Heathrow at night to connect and enter 9ja. The BA customer service rep said AA put credit of over £500 for 7 piece luggage on our account. . American wonder. We spent over 30 mins clearing that up, calls back and forth, different rep coming to press system, etc. Let's be careful o , call and verify please. 1 Like |

When you put up a post like that, you are def discrediting that doctor. Everybody picked that up, even those that have no interest in that doctor. Bia justwise, 13 oyinbo reviews out of thousands, seriously? What's this all about biko? I hate to bagger words... How about we put up our own reviews instead? Fizzywah: 1 Like |

bloggerina: Thousands from where? In total only 15 people reviewed her services and 13 were negative while 2 people posted positive reviews. Your single positive experience is not a benchmark, other people have the right to express their views as well. If you want to post your review then go to that website and argue with those who did not enjoy her service. 2 Likes |
