Civil society organisation, Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has debunked allegation from the minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala that its lawsuit over the alleged mismanagement of N30 trillion by the federal government is political.
SERAP, while maintaining that it strives to ensure that its human rights and accountability work meet the highest standards of analytical rigour devoid of politics, urged the minister to “embrace constructive engagement on issues of human rights, transparency and accountability.”
The organisation also urged Dr. Okonjo-Iweala to avoid sound bite and opportunistic attacks on civil society organisations simply working to make the government sit up, so that it can function to improve the conditions of millions of marginalised and disadvantaged Nigerians.
SERAP’s comments came after the minister last week in a statement lambasted the group for instituting a lawsuit against her over the claim by a former Central Bank governor, Chukwuma Soludo, that Nigeria has lost as much as N30 trillion to corruption and mismanagement.

Another reason why we want change

Political or not, let us wait till after election so we can have enough time to pursue N30trillions together. Abi you and Okonjo wish to negotiate to chop this money alone? After the election in this Nation, no sinner shall escape unpunished again.

i still don't know why GEJ and Ngozi iwealla are taking Nigerians for, their Economic mis management is damn too glaring, that 30tr must be accouted for or posterity will never forgive them if the issue is swept under the carpet. God let there be a change in the Land.
