Look at the rust on those wheels. These people travel out to a countries worldwide and see the trains in those countries yet they went for trains other nations have sent to the junk yard and make noise about it in the name of transformation. Even Singapore which we were 10 times better than in times past cannot have this on their MRT. Even Indonesia has upgraded to Super express train and the funny thing is that this train Nigeria is celebrating now was once indonesias kind of train assembly but they upgraded in 2012 to Super express trains. I have attached the pictures for sake of comparison.

I want you to pause for a second and consider how absolutely stupendously ludicrous and clueless this administration is. They want to discourage the average citizen from importing used (tokunbo) vehicles into Nigeria by raising the import duties right? Yet they went ahead and imported so called tokunbo trains from outside the country. A country as big and as rich as Nigeria cannot afford brand new trains? That is the joke of the century. How much does a train cost? A friend of mine in the USA who is well versed in that said about $15m for a modern 6 carriage train. So we cannot afford that? These trains Jonathan is making noise about are not tokunbo but refurbished (There is a difference). So doyin Okupe has suddenly become the accountant general of Nigeria? Shameful!

I want to believe that you know some persons have been pulled out of the unemployment market and the thousands of indirect employment created just because of this act of the govt.
