There are a lot of nice cars you can buy for 1.5m naira. Go to dubai.dubizzle.com and find a car that is 500 to 600k less your budget ( the balance you can use for shipping and clearing). After you find the car look for Justi4jesu, she is a nairalander and lives in dubai. She will send the car to Nigeria for you. Dats her job. You will have a better car and more value for your money! I will go for Toyota/Vibe Pontiac. Fuel economy normal for average Nigerian, good speed acceleration , It's a good car hardly will you know any mechanic or electrician .. And a good service can last up to 3-4 month. |

Can someone educate me more of the Honda Accord known variously as "Anaconda" or "Evil Spirit". What year range is it? What's the cost? There are some models that have taillights on the booth (close to the number plates) while others don't. What's the difference? Maintainability? The entire works. Thanks guys |

@OP, you didn't specify whether you'd want a brand new car or Tokunbo car. But based on the amount you have (#1.5m), There're very few brand new cars you can get, so your choices are rather limited to the likes of Volkswagen Golf, Kia Picanto, Hyundai i10, etc However, if you're talking about Tokunbo vehicles, you also have to consider the fact that prices have gone up due to the increase in tariffs and exchange rates. You also need to decide if he want Tin Can Island cleared(more expensive, but no police or custom hassles) vehicle or Cotonou (cheaper, but risky). That being said, my opinion.... 1. Toyota Corolla 2003-2009model are good, especially if it's your first car. They're rather easy to maintain (fuel efficient and spare parts). However, like someone already pointed oh, avoid the 'Sports editions'. 2. Toyota Camry 2003-2006(Big Daddy). Also good for beginners, for same real as corolla above. 3. Honda Accord (End of Discussion): not so suitable for a beginner cos it might be more complicated, but a very good car nonetheless. Other products like Volkswagen Bora, Passat, Jetta, etc can also be gotten at that price range. Lexus 330 also. Mercedes Benz C-class too. I don't know much about Nissan products. However, whatever your choice, I'd rather you go for a V-4, rather than a V-6 or V-8 car, for fuel consumption and maintenance pueposes. Ciao..... 6 Likes |

Go for the toyota corolla 2004 model. It costs about 1.5mill. Its very economical, gots swags, portable, has second value should incase you decide to resell. If you are in lagos axis (festac) my bro owns an auto shop, if you are interested, he can show you some of his. |
