I cant imagine having a pregnant daughter or a gay son. But if it happens, honestly I will choose a pregnant teenage daughter over a gay son. |

Pregnant daughter is only talked about for a while, but no one would like to hear about his son munching someone elses co*k. If it happens to you, how would you deal with the situation? |

Sisi Jinx: Your point being . . .? I'm simply about people not going on about what should make 'homepage' or not, or who go on some topics and ask its purpose. If people didn't take the plunge and start one thread or the other, repulsive as it may seem to some, I wonder where NL will be by now. However, looking back now, I must say the topic has no life-changing value - which of course is hardly a crime - except on NL of course . . . |

As insane as it may sound, many would prefer a gay female to a son! Anyway, i still stand on none - better save than sorry. |

Secondly,it could be as a result of lack of true love and betrayals in the society, people just take love where they find it,but it still doesn't explain the physical attractions. What a shallow excuse for the abominable act of being gay.javascript:void(0); In my world, being gay IS being demonic, pervert, unbalanced, unnatural. God bless the pregnant daughter, any day. |

My view Physical attractions - Attractive face with fully developed round front and back view; feminine - shaking front and rear view while walking coupled with a nice confident cat walk. Finally add a good personality + hygienic lifestyle + proper feminine dressing on top. |

People should please stop this front page thing. A traditional Nigerian doesn't like homosexuals. Nor do some of the people behind the "international" trash we're going on about. |

For the protagonists of this thread being on the front page, I am not surprised. As Nigerians we are used to having people in privileged positions shoving anything down our throat. NLers as a collection of Nigerian intelligentsia know better. If we stop complaining and accept threads like this on the home page, one day we will be asked crazier questions (Have you seen your parents having sex? Have you seen your father/mother nude? Can you f**k/lick your brother/Sister?) It is going to happen!! We have seen examples in Nigerian leadership already. Again, I will plead with the moderator *Tgirl4real* to take this off the home page. It is an insult! |
Re: As Nigerians: Pregnant Daughter Or Gay Son? by yimiton(f): 2:35pm On Jan 19, 2009 |
Inasmuch as none of them is an interesting option, I'll rather my daughter, no matter how young she is, gets pregnant without even knowing the father of her child (multiple sexual partners) than for my son to be say he's gay. Really, I don't understand how being gay can be accepted in any society. It's way beyond ordinary wild sexual practice, I think it's weired and too deep to be called a sin. God forbids that it happens to me, I really don't know what I'll do but I'm sure I'll never become 'supportive' |

In that case, nija pple better pray hard hard cus the country should not allow this disease that is vastly destroying America, India, Asia, and Europe. N besides, the nija we dey for abroad should not bring the disease back home to affect other children. |

Re: As Nigerians: Pregnant Daughter Or Gay Son? by JustGood(m): 3:32pm On Jan 19, 2009 |
God forbid bad thing. Its even better for my daughter to get pregnant at 12 than for a son to say he is gay. Gay gini Never in my household! |
Re: As Nigerians: Pregnant Daughter Or Gay Son? by Nobody: 3:51pm On Jan 19, 2009 |
It's a bitter curse to be have any of these two things happen to anyone. Like the poster said I'll stay 'between' and have neither the two. What on earth can drive any human to homosexuality? I can't imagine it. It's not only a highway to doom, it's doom itself. |

Re: As Nigerians: Pregnant Daughter Or Gay Son? by biggjoe(m): 5:25pm On Jan 19, 2009 |
people calling for the removal of the topic from the homepage are just too afraid to view what majority of nigerians think of homosexuality. It is just not normal or african. Thank God our leaders are taking extra steps to outlaw every facet of homosexuality. Please Moderator Leave this topic on the Home Page and Let the world continue to see how Nigerians Hate homosexuality,. |

I would NEVER choose between my children. I will stand by my gay son and pregnant daughter. |
Re: As Nigerians: Pregnant Daughter Or Gay Son? by MrsOyibo(f): 6:31pm On Jan 19, 2009 |
Your child will always be your child no matter what decisions that they make in their lives. I don't know why some people on this discussion are so homophobic. Everyone in life has choices these days - wouldn't the world be a much better place if we could all just be more tolerant. Also agree with other posters who say that this discussion shouldn't be advertised on the homepage. Doesn't really help in improving the impression of Nigeria and it's people. |
Re: As Nigerians: Pregnant Daughter Or Gay Son? by JustGood(m): 6:51pm On Jan 19, 2009 |
and who says there's anything wrong with being homophobic? If I am homophobic, let sodomites also be anythinghobic jare. We also have choices and some of us made those choices. Why is it difficult for you to accept our own choices not to have anything to do with sodomy and the encouragement of such? |
Re: As Nigerians: Pregnant Daughter Or Gay Son? by JustGood(m): 6:53pm On Jan 19, 2009 |
This thread should actually be permanent front page here. why should we abandon what we believe just because some of you have self hatred and have to conform to whatever those you see as better than you say? What we believe is what we believe and there is absolutely nothing wrong with what we believe. Please go to British websites if you dont like the thought system of Nigerians. sheeeorrr |
Re: As Nigerians: Pregnant Daughter Or Gay Son? by drrionelli(m): 7:19pm On Jan 19, 2009 |
If it may be noted, homosexual is what gays and lesbians are, not what they do. This is also to say, of course, that heterosexual is what straight people are and not what they do. In other words, one's orientation goes far beyond what one does with one's Instruments. There's much more to being gay or straight than sexual activity. With that consideration, let's hear some more responses to the original posting. |

Babalaw0: I'm really sorry to say, but I think this particular post of yours is more offensive, insulting and demeaning than the said topic and all the posts therein put together. Lawd! Now my sensibilities are seriously affected. How can u afford to even post such things on a thread u very well know is homepage? I have a funny feeling u dost protest too much brova!!! |
