@poster - what's the age range of the babies for this discussion?

I'm assuming this is for new borns - 2year olds? Most things that need to be done to get a baby to sleep are really quite basic (As long as there are no underlying medical issues - say flu, fever, etc)

in that case, establishing a routine, ensuring baby is well fed and not colicly (i.e no gas in tummy), ensuring nappy isn't soiled and a warm bath in the evenings helps grizzling tots settle too

Sometimes it could be they just need the comfort of the parent too.
