PREVILEGE OR RIGHT

Understanding the difference between “individual rights” and government-provided “privileges” is as important as understanding the difference between freedom and slavery.
It’s simple to understand: We own our “individual rights,” such as our Bill of Rights. The government owns the “privilege” that the government provides, such as public welfare, public housing, public education, driving, etc. Nearly everything that the government subsidizes is a privilege that the government owns. Individual rights are essential for freedom. Some privileges are essential for the safety of citizens.
Privilege and Right are two differents words but people used it in a wrong way and with this it affect the populace at large.
Rights are legal, social, or ethical principles of
freedom or entitlement, rights are the
fundamental normative rules about what is allowed of people or owed to people and everybody is entitle to rights. Meanwhile privileged means special right or advantage that most people don't have People can be privileged in many different ways, but it always means that they're getting some unusual deal that others probably envy. You can be privileged because you have plenty of money and get to travel the world.
In the democracy we practise, previlige is now being use instead of Right, we no longer have our normal rights but the Governement now give us previlege. We no longer have our normal right with us,as a student we are all entiltled to a token amount called Busary but it is no longer our right, where is our busary ? Where is the fund meant for it ? Where is the leaders of Naoss ? The Ogbeni Rauf led adminstration has always been helpful to the Nigeria student but the busary is our right, all Neighbouring states has paid there own except Osun-state, I know this Administration will do the Needful to Nigerian students and give us all back our rights.
