There are indications that after a closed door meeting with President Jonathan, PDP/Nigerian security chiefs and the INEC chairman, the presidency and security chiefs unanimously agreed that the card readers are not needed for the 2015 general elections and hence directed the INEC chairman to stop the use of the card reader or resign his position. It is time for Nigerians to stand up and defend our nascent democracy. We also call on the international community to intervene immediately before it is too late. President Jonathan and the PDP know they cannot win a free and fair election in Nigeria. The card reader will stop rigging and inflation of votes. President Jonathan won the 2011 presidential election by polling 99.8% of the total registered voters in the states in the south south and south east that were just figures written and sent to Abuja. The same reason Justice Salami was disgraced out of office when he ordered that forensic experts should examine the ballot papers used for the 2011 general elections.
