SEARCHING? FOR WHAT EXACTLY?
Asked if good ladies still exist, I
recently responded "Yes there
are, even though it is not as
straightforward . " we are who
we are attracted to" so for each
of us the definition differs.
Nobody is perfect hence
perfection just gets defined
according to our modified
needs. We put the physical over
the non physical (eg looks over
character) that's why we end up
with just looks. If we start out
our search with non physical
criteria, I am sure all the
wonderful people out there who
currently are invisible will
suddenly appear.
To ask If there is a perfect lady
out there is to ask if I am a
perfect man. We readjust and
turn what we get into what we
want. It is hard work but it is
work worth it. God first"
There's so much talk of ladies
(and indeed guys) ready to settle
down and be loyal being scarce.
Perhaps we are looking in the
wrong direction.
This might sound harsh but
what right does a broke lady
have to filter a guy off over
finances? You are poor too !
Maybe she's trying to balance
the equation you say? Some will
call it gold digging (aka all about
the money). This is no different
from a guy setting a filter of
looks, brother have you looked
in the mirror honestly? Not
exactly Morris Chestnut right?
Exactly my point. The lady you
think is unattractive enough to
make your wife today might just
be a diamond in the rough
waiting for your care to glow.
(Yes it does happen. Check
before and after pictures of
ladies on Facebook). What's the
issue really? Everything we think
important today is actually
temporary. The firm will sag,
smooth will wrinkle, full will
shrink, straight will bend even
teeth and hairs will fall off.
How's beauty working for you
now? In as little as 4 years post
wedding, tables turn and our
vision clears out. We discover
that real beauty lies beneath, but
it's already too late for most.
The real beauty of an individual
is not seen with the eyes. The
eyes can only stir up attaction,
true feelings belong to the heart
and the head but what do we
know? We suddenly become
mathematicians who see the
possibility of the most unlikely
probabilities. He can be cute and
rich and posh and tall and....oh
wake up.
If you go to places like clubs and
pubs, why would you imagine
that you'll not meet club and pub
girls? Sister he came to the club !
What did you think he had on
his mind? Love?. Mornings after
always restore sanity leaving you
needing the "morning after" pill.
Still there's that guy somewhere
who you think too dark, too
short, too poor, not your
portion. What is your portion?
You don't deserve anything you
cannot appreciate, grow and
improve. We all want what we
want but God gives what He
gives, "and He is the All
Knowing".
Please don't mistake this as a call
to lower your standards, it's a
plea to not allow unrealistic
goals steal your time and
chances.
