This should prolly be a politics topic rather than a sports one, just to show how darn confused I am! My Q is, why do Isreali teams play in European football league? does anyone know, 'because I really don't have a clue, 4 real. Please help. |

because most of the Arab countries don't recognise Israel as a country and as such will not play Israel in any competitive fixtures. they might not even play them in friendlies. Israel has played in various groups in the past, but since the nearest organisation is UEFA, they play there. other teams who play in UEFA despite being located in Asia pretty much are Russia, Turkey, Azerbijan, Kazakhstan, Armenia amongst others. hope this helps. |
