The Nigerian police are a reflection of society, we accept instant 'jungle' justice because its the norm.

The thought he may be innocent doesn't cross anyone's mind any more than it crosses the minds of those who put tyres on people's neck on the streets and set them alight.

Just remember, one day it may be you or your relative who happens to be in wrong place at the wrong time. Nigerians need to stop this mob mentality that has taken us back several 100 years and act civilised and educated (tall order I guess) this is another example of indiscipline and the culture of corruption and impunity that has soaked through the entire fabric of our society. We are all guilty and no one is blameless.
