Just to clear somethings out before I'm done with this thread

No offense but what got me this way is your claimed in your OWN TREAD that Dominicans have Haitian ancestry, you did not said it here

If your talking about the beauty thread. I said its not taboo for Dominicans to have Haitian ancestry or vice verse due to CLOSE PROMXITY. Which in no way is an over-exaggeration. I didnt say it was COMMON on the island. Or that every Dominican has Haitian ancestry or vice versa which is not true. BUT to deny the close proximity(which you were kinda doing in this thread) is insane imo.

THANK YOUU, even your own PEER-REVIWED put Dominicans ancestry at 23% & that's lower than 38% Panamenian African ancestry.. thank u so much, even your own source back me up.

shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked
WHAT!? Nice try buddy. But 23% is PUERTO RICAN, while 41.8% is for Dominicans. Come on… You're going to deny the results in front of you?

The rest of your post I really don't care and we can agree to disagree on. Because I don't want to ruin your topic.
LOL it's over exagerating because Dominicans DO NOT have "haitian ancestry" in fact that doesn't even make sense.. Dominicans don't have "haitian" ancestry, this is a ridiculous claim that Haitians have been making just to try to claim Dominicans or try to make themselves feel better by such claim.
Before Trujillo, we were in a state of WAR, no Haitian could cross to the DR side, REMEMBER, we were in a state of WAR, because Dominicans always fear a Haitian invasion and therefore Haitians moving to DR in those times is totally a lie.
So i suggest you to STOP lying and spreading this b.s. that Dominicans have "haitian ancestry" it only make you look desperate & inferior.
Only people who feel that their own people are Inferior would claim such fallacy.
It's a well fact that only around 20,000 Haitians were living in Bateys(sugar cutting communities) in the early 1990's which they wouldn't dare to go out of it to Dominicans towns & non of them would Mix with Dominicans..
What SOME Dominicans really have is French ancestry from the Haiti part when many escaped the massacre of white french.

However, significant population differences exist, with the Dominicans and Puerto Ricans showing the highest levels of African ancestry (41.8% and 23.6% African, SDs 16% and 12%)

What does SD's supposed to mean?? eh? it mean that the lowest Dominicans ancestry was 16% then? OOOOOOOHH okay, i see, so i guess 16% is lower than 38% African panamenian ancestry.. thank youuuu smiley

My god can you read? You keep trying to making out that I am saying ALL DOMINICANS have Haitian history! When I made it clear that I wasnt SAYING ALL Dominicans had Haitian history, but was only talking about close promixity. You trying to deny the close promisty between the DR and Haiti is the only ridiculous thing being said. And can we lose this "Haitians need to claim Dominicans", because you keep blowing up what I'm saying out of context. Haitians have a proud history and heritage. They are some of the proudest people I know.
https://www.nairaland.com/1314521/haitian-history-thread

They don;t need to claim other people to feel better. All your doing is taking what I'm saying out of context. Okay... Let me try to make this as comprehensible as possible. White Americans and Black Americans rarely mixed during jim crow in the south. It was rare, but it still happened. And there were small biracial communities. Why? Because of CLOSE PROXIMITY! Does not mean that ALL White Americans have black ancestry. Same thing with the Dominicans. Though there are SOME repeat SOME Dominicans with Haitian ancestry and vice versa due to obvious close proximity. I guess those Dominicans of Haitian descent in the DR(who are being denied citizenship) just popped out of nowhere. *rollseyes*

And lol at me feeling "inferior" by trying to claim another group. Please, lets not go there... I'm just going to flat out say it, you obviously have a bias agenda against Haitians. Especially how you think there couldn't have been any Haitians migrating into the DR. I guess those Haitians Trujillo killed in the DR were all made up. Or Trujillo's grandmother who was HAITIAN!!! shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked

Seriously I'm done with you.

I guess trolling is our last resort due to not being able to dismiss the source in front of you. You also ignored the graph which said the same thing. You clearly and based off this thread have an uneasy feeling about the African influence in Dominicans. Its obviously showing. I'm done.

In fact, this video exposed a whole lot to me. I can now connect the dots in your comments when you showed your reservation about representing Dominican ladies as big booty black women. Can you just explain why your country despise the black race. What is your problem with being black? Are you guys really mentally stable?? Am so short of words. And please don't start the media propaganda story here. Tell me why that dude will not be given an opportunity to get an international passport because he is black. What a shame .

That yodanyrd character always makes a mess and then runs off to start trouble somewhere else. He has no focus and is of limited education, he has never even been in the country which he tries to represent. He grew up in the ghettoes of NYC. That's why he spams pictures of all these lower class people.

Re: I Am Dominican From Dominica Republic... ASK Me Anything. by Dominicanese: 7:32pm On Mar 10, 2019
anyhow, im one a the few dominicans who tells it like it is and have actually lived and grew up in DR so

this idiot yodanyrd is a joke is not even a dominican i can bet u that on every level

dominican republic and its diaspora is predominanty black and mulatto with a sagnificant quadroon minority, pure colonial white dominicans r damn near extinct with many white dominicans claiming to be fully dominican when in reality many r mixed with something else or r 3 gen old dominican of european descent which white and light skinned (includes quadroons) r no more than 15% of the population, the rest is mulattoes, dark mulattoes, and blacks

here r real dominicans

(Dominicans from outside DR)

also, that bitch ass CIA World Fagbook is a joke and has gotten the vast majority of nations ethnic racial composition wrong

here is the updated and much more realistic ethnic composition of the dominican republic

45% Mulatto
40% Black
15% White

sources: http://hisprint.org/filerequest/9396 / http://hisprint.org/dominican-republic/travel-to-dominican-republic

also a more realistic and recent dna study done in DR over 1,000+ individuals all around the DR puts the average dominican (which btw was done mainly among middle class or higher dominican university students) at 49% African (SSA), 39% European, 8% West Asian/North African, and 4% Native

sources: https://www.diariolibre.com/actualidad/ciencia/el-dominicano-tiene-un-49-de-adn-africano-y-un-39-europeo-NE4251429 / https://dominicantoday.com/dr/local/2016/07/06/dominicans-are-49-black-39-white-and-4-indian/

so we r more african than european which shouldnt be a surprise

also, a much older study which idk y ppl never bothered to post it done in the 1950s and had over 9,000+ dominicans from all the providences puts the average Dominican at 60% African, 35% European, and 5% Native, ill have to find this source a little later since its very old and hard to find but i remembered the numbers

i think hes dominican but hes one a those dominicans that have a hard time accepting that we the blackest spanish speaking country which is fine, we should be proud of that, it makes us unique

i know way too many ppl who r not dominican and talk well about us no matter what color we are and this includes even non dominican blacks

unfortunately dominicans like the op (if hes dominican) r pretty common and this goes back since trujillo took control of our schools and re wrote history himself just like hitler did in europe

I mean, i wanted to show my people since i know most of you have never been exposed to us. But yeah my bad bro.
Well, Dominicans see Africans as anybody else see them, i dont want to sound bad but u know how the typical image of Africans is portray around as all poor, asking for food, etc which of course i know its no true bcs many African countries are booming. The average Dominicans dont think much about Africans, and neither about Europeans, Dominicans embrace their African heritages, which is already blend in our mix culture. But the view of Africans is not that strong because most Dominicans arent expose to them but only throw the media and we all already know how the media works about Africans. Honestly there isnt much influence straight from Africa, the only influence we have is the one that came around 300-500 years ago. Dominicans dont look much outside of the Latin America zone...

Am talking about the majority, but there are some minority Dominicans who would look up to Africans as a people of Africaness cultural influence.

Dont worry, if you meet a Dominican, they wont be racist or have a bad view about, many would threat you great as any person bcs we also have black Dominicans and we all see each other as the same.
