So, even against the position of the UN and many nations (non Arab nations) Israel continued to slaughter innocent men, women and children and when they are ok with the monumental wastage of lives it is decided to declare a ceasefire and you are interested whether Hamas will agree to a unilateral ceasefire declared by Israel at its own timing?

Get real.

I fail to see how this unilateral ceasefire will cause a cessation of hostilities seeing that the belligerents did not fully meet each others terms. It's a positive developement though as it might put a stop to the wanton killings and crimes taking place on both sides. . .

You guys are quite unfair with that Hamas! They rejected the cease-fire because the IDF remain on their soil, they said.

Hamas warned that a ceasefire declared by oneside is not a ceasefire. Israel went to war on a situation they created (by breaking the previous ceasefire). Hamas is prepared to fight on, and Israel does not gain any moral justification by their ceasefire until it is made concrete by withdrawal and allowing Gaza to operate as a free state (not a vassal). If they want to gain some moral Kudos, they must make full raparations for the damage to the infrastucture and families and social communications network that they have destroyed. Otherwise, black can never be painted white.

When Auwall and co. were crying foul,
All i thought was they really pity those Gazans.
Particularly the Civilians.
My question is, Is it possible to make any meaningful reparations when rockets are still flying?
When you mention a ceasefire, it has to be negotiated.
Stage 1 is what Isreal has done now, If Hamas really wants peace.
They must be able to come to a term of agreement with Isreal and Vice-versa.
But, If Auwall and his cohorts starts singing praise to Hamas now,
that means they want more bloodshed, or probably are interested in the suffering of Gazans.

The Truth is this, If It was not easy for Nigeria to allow a biafran state to be, Isreal has tried
by giving the Gazans some levels of autonomy. However, if the Gazans see Isreal as a brother,
this wouldnt have turned to what it is now. Please, i plead with the two parties to let peace reign.

None of this was achieved except the killing of babies.
Hamas has come out stronger. For 4 days the IDf tried to enter Gaza city but the resistance they faced was so fierce they delcared a unilateral ceasefire. The IDF hasnt reported the true casualites on their side as they hay have banned their journalist and western journalist from there. Fierece fighting and heavy fighting always reported but no IDF causalty that sounds like a computer game.

The palestinans were steadfast amidst this terror unleashed on them.
The success of a war is not dpendednt on the number of the dead. It is dependent on the stated objectives of the war of which Israel achieved nothing. The 15000 strong Hamas force - Qassam brigades is still intact. Some tunnels were destroyed but definately not all. This tunnels are rebuilt in 20 days.

The sad thing is just the palestinian infrastructure the terrorist destroyed- roads, power plants, water plants, Gaza residential towers and homes, hospital 13 mousques. This would be rebuilt by Hamas just like what Hezbollah did.

So what did Israel achieve - The poularity and legitimising of Hamas , the weakning of Mahmud Abbas as he his seen asa joke by the palestinans in West Bank. The real losers of this war is Israel, Egyptian govt, Mahmud Abbas, Jordan and Saudi kings as their stupidity and hypocrisy has been revealed./
