Position: Assistant Head of Sales An Indigenous top manufacturing company in the building & construction industry is looking for a dynamic, professional individual to fill the position of Assistant Head of Sales. This individual’s job description is to assist and deputise for the Head of Sales in achieving the following: • Determining annual gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results. • Establishing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products. • Implementing national sales programs by developing field sales action plans. • Maintaining sales volume, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors. • Completes national sales targets by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results. • Maintains national sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. • Maintains national sales staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Skills: Meeting Sales Goals, Negotiation, Selling to Customer Needs, Motivation for Sales, Sales Planning, Building Relationships, Coaching, Managing Processes, Market Knowledge, Developing Budgets Others include: Financial Planning and Strategy, Marketing Concepts, People Management, Territory Management, Sales Planning, Competitive Analysis, Understanding the Customer, Product Development, Client Relationships. Qualifications: University Degree required; MBA or advanced business management degree preferred. • Executive with 10 + years of experience in business development and sales management with strong industry relationships • Successful track record leading inside and outside sales team (including remote employees) to exceed measurable sales and revenue goals. • Should be able to demonstrate consistently good performance in meeting or exceeding targets. • Should have a pre-existing network of contacts and relationships within the industry that he/she can bring to the team. • Should have experience in establishing and working with channel partners to enhance the company’s ability to win business.
