Sweet Memories... by lamia(f): 6:42pm On Mar 23, 2015
On my stool I sit, looking out the bedside window,
listening to the songs of nature's sweet melody.
I see the lovely colorful flowers in their bloom,
their sweet scents the smell of happiness and joy.
As they dance to the breeze swaying back and forth,
the peace in my heart becomes one in a million.
I capture the memory safe in the recess of my mind,
for another time I know will come...

when all colour is lost,
when nature's lovely melody turns mournful,
when sadness and melancholy takes over happiness and joy.
and by then when all hope is lost
I will remember the lovely, colourful flowers in their bloom
their scents and their sway to the breeze
the songs of nature's sweet melody....
and then hope will rise
fueling my struggle to overcome the darkness
I'd love to feel the one in a million peace again and forever
though the reality is a bit different
for nothing in life really lasts forever
neither happiness not sadness,
neither joy nor melancholy,
not even life....
