The Inspector General Police, Suleiman Abba, is assuring all election observers and party agents that there will be security for them at the poll units.

INEC Nigeria ‏@inecnigeria tweeted, “Security will be extended to observers and party agents at polling unit observing elections -IG” with the above picture. Kudos to Nigerian police!

The issue of who to issue order on whether voters has right to wait after casting their votes or not has been resolved. IGP once said voters should leave poll unit once they cast their votes but INEC, quoting electoral constitutions, said voters has right to monitor his or her votes.
