She is the co-founder of Black Entertainment Television along with ex-husband Robert Johnson. According to Techscio, Sheila Johnson is the second-richest Black American woman after media proprietor Oprah Winfrey.


Ulysses Bridgeman Jr.
Net Worth: $400 million


Bridgeman was a shooting guard for the Milwaukee Bucks before he entered the fast food industry. After his NBA career, he bought five Wendy’s franchises that would eventually end up to be 161 in total. He also owns 118 Chili’s restaurants.


R. Donahue Peebles
Net Worth: $350 million


Peebles’ company, The Peebles Corp., develops properties across America. In addition to working in real estate, Peebles has been an activist and novelist.
