Who Will Deliver Japheth J Omojuwa? by IamOValentine(m): 12:10pm On Mar 27, 2015

Sometimes in April 2014, the renowed accidental public Servant posted on his facebook timeline that he had sent lawyers to uncover Japheth J Omojuwa from the claws of the SSS in a botched Abuja protest. I never took that gesture for serious business while it prevailed.

Subsequently, Mallam Nasiru El Rufai became a questionable patroniser of omojuwadotcom. Again, taking uncommon pleasure in Omojuwa's vitriol and zapper against the government; rebroadcasting them on social media platforms. For a moment, Omojuwa's tweets appeared to uniformed his thought, and the Mallam didn't disappoint. Opting not to take a rest even on Jumat days, he kept retweeting like a sprouting blogger running on batteries. All this I noticed, but then never took it out-to-lunch.

Again I stumbled upon a photograph posted by George Omonya Daniel another controversial blogger less sympathetic to the APC but evidently at home, dwelling at the other side of the political divide. In the photo was Dr Kayode Fayemi enveloped by selected influential social media movers and shakers. Amidst them, standing in an informal proximity to the now dethroned governor was a guy with ears sticking out for the paparazzi I suppose. It was Japheth Omojuwa again. Now I was bothered.

In Africa there are only a meager sum of broaden minds that cut the magnetic figure of Omojuwa's commentaries and brilliance in cyber space. His essay drizzle articulatly through the thick and thin of Africa's disparaged socio-democratic and economic manifestation. It captured the complicating essentials that ferried the black youth from the harbours of social and moral handicap to the shores of economic and political failure. Omojuwa's opinions means fact to many and only the myopic and marketers of self-deception would overlook his firm prowess for baiting and luring, particularly the intellectual liaties that profess their faith in the Nigeria cyber cathedral.

The APC were quick to measure Omojuwa's conviction power and choose a systematic alignment program that wouldn't deny them his wilful embrace. That script was well oiled by the exhibitions of the accidental public Servant himself. Now who will deliver Japheth Omojuwa?

You may wonder, Omojuwa is not one that could be readily bought with wads of naira. Of course, he's very much worth more than sparrows. Omojuwa is not one who could be cajoled by cheap publicity. In fact, he has earned very much better and larger audience, having graced some of Africa's most repected platforms as a guest speaker.

Today Japhet Omojuwa has gone to town hawking the Muhammadu Buhari campaign. He's crying for 'Change' which none owed him. He is gradually breaking that rational and prudent cord that once endeared and upheld him unruffled as the unyielding social activist in the eyes of an overwhelming majority of African youth.

Any devoted reader who have digested extensively the essay and tweets of Omojuwa would effortlessly admit that his latest romance is an unpatrotic break away from the past.

First, Omojuwa never started out with the hope of rooting for a septuagenarian. He screamed for a better government, but if anything else, it was not a government marshalled by a reformed tyrant and besiege by longstanding devourers of our treasury. Omojuwa was a propagator of the new generation.

Omojuwa never appeared as one who would gallivant with a political party that trive on propaganda; whose flagbearer posses a questionable academic background. Not a Buhari with such odious history and nothing from the present to show genuine credence. One who would rather take a detour than showup to publicly debate his opponent. Not a party that has brazenly embraced every disgruntled criminal who have lost relevance in the PDP at dawn and then verbally pronounce them as progressive before midday. These were never Omojuwa's principle!

Sadly, one of Africa's young role model is the latest addition to the growing pile of intellectuals who would probably after gracing the devil's table lose their vitality and slump into irrelevance and then extinction from the league of the regarded few.

Everyone has got a price, even Japheth J Omojuwa too. But who will deliver him from the snare of the fowler?

You only succeeded in publicizing him even more. Just shows that he is doing a good job.

Japhet Omojuwa even though he is a kings man he is a classical example of the typical foolish southerner.

The northerners were supporting buhari for only one reason, his birthplace...while smart omojuwa was cajoled into following a man whose antecedents did not bode well for democracy
In order to join the Bola Tinubu winning bandwagon he abused and disrespected Jonathan calling him a pig and all sorts....unfortunately when the battle was won Buhari clipped Tinubu's wings, saraki hit the low blow and the jagaban had to struggle; so what do u think will become of his side kick?
He was as useful to them (APC) as much as toilet roll is useful to the anus, for if he did not tweet another person would.

Omojuwa has soiled himself so much that no one can easily identify with him, he is like our own generation of FFK and he is seen as basket mouth or used and dumped..i pray he picks himself up and shine like a king he is

Floreat to you japhet, but u forgot that this politics of a thing is meant to be a contest between two brothers not a battle field, you took ur spite of Jonathan too far
