You guys are getting it so wrong.

The inability of Gej to mend fences after his men messed up the state PDP primaries in the state caused a lot of division and massive decamping, including the state governor, hence the little interest and indeciciveness by Ebonyi voters on the presidential election.

Otherwise, they've already made up their minds on who to vote at the senatorial and house of reps election. Nobody could have convinced the villagers otherwise on that.

That's not true. There was no single room for rigging in Ebonyi state.

Ebonyi used to be a 100% PDP state until GEJ, Muazu and NWC PDP made a mess of the PDP primaries to the extent that Gov Elechi lost all the posts due for contest. That was when he indirectly defected to Labour party. And before anybody knew it, about 5 parties rose to become very strong with strong agents and structure. That of course made rigging almost impossible in Ebonyi state.

Though it is expected that Gej will win in Ebonyi convincingly, quiet a number of Ebonyi voters decided not to campaign or cast their votes for him.
Reasons:
1. The wayo PDP primaries caused a lot of disaffection.
2. Campaigning for Gej would confuse the voters who have candidates in other parties for the national assembly.
3. The state government apparatus was all for Labour party.

That being said, APC that was supposed to leverage on the crises in PDP made the same mistake by rigging in an unserious candidate for the gubernatorial position. Edeze who was going to deliver Ebonyi to APC was rigged out.

All in all, Ebonyi people voted for individuals, not parties.

It was all planned! The governors son is a close pal! Elechi Can NEVER Work for jonathan again after that disgrace of a PDP primaries dished out to Elechi under watchful eyes of jonathan. He may win Ebonyi State but will garner less than 200,000 votes. It was a form of protest.
