1. Stella Oduah: The former minister of Aviation has won the Anambra North Senatorial district elections in her home state. Oduah had been dropped from President Jonathan’s cabinet last year after she allegedly approve without following due process, the purchase of two BMW armoured cars for N255 million by the National Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). Political analysts will keep an eye on the beautiful PDP chieftain as she makes her way to the upper chamber. 2. Buruji Kashamu: The bulky Ogun state PDP chieftain has won majority votes in the Ogun east senatorial district, comprising nine local councils, Kashamu is allegedly wanted in the United States in connection with drug offences. He has also been having a running political battle with former president Olusegun Obasanjo for sometime now. He was also accused by the All Progressives Congress for participating in the alleged rigging of the Ekiti state gubernatorial elections last year.

3. Theodore Orji: The governor of Abia state is a case-study in incompetency. Widely regarded as the worst governor in Nigeria, many are baffled how the governor defeated the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Candidate, Barrister Ahamdi Nweke who came second. The governor who gets booed each time he steps out in public gatherings will no doubt get a reality check when he vacates the Abia state government house on the 29th of May 2015. 4. Godswill Akpabio: Unlike Orji, Akpabio is a proven performer in governance. But his greatest undoing is his extreme uncouth political statements, coupled with his obvious disdain for the opposition which has made him commit so many political blunders. Very unpopular outside his state, his role in the Nigeria Governors Forum crisis is well documented. Akpabio is one man that get carried away easily and literally talks without thinking.

5. Jonah Jang: From appointing his son as a commissioner, to being used to destabilise the Nigerian Governors Forum and his in- ability to restore law and order in his home state, Plateau state governor is one politician who has seen it all , but yet, has no positive political achievements. Jang is at best known for his biased and often times careless statements especially as regards the constant insecurity in his home-state which he has failed to curb. In a related development, the governor of Niger state, Aliyu Babangida has lost his bid to be elected as a senator as he lost by a wide margin to the APC candidate.
