Reports just reaching us indicate that no fewer
than 25 people died in Abuja, Kano, Makurdi and
Niger yesterday, while celebrating the victory of
President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari.

However, police authorities in Kano claimed only

after the celebration.

According to an eyewitness, Ali Sufi of Naibawa
quarters, three people were crushed to death at
Naibawa U-turn, when a man in a Toyota Camry
