Kano Pillars will today take on the Moghreb Tetouan of Morocco in the return leg of Caf Champions League game at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano. The Sai Masu Gida boys must score at least five unreplied goals to advance to the next round of the competition. The first leg ended 4-0 in favour of Moghreb Tetouan.

Kano Pillars’ striker Adamu Mohammed has expressed his optimism that Sai
Masu Gidawould advance beyond Moroccan opposition, Moghreb Tetouan whom
they need to score more than four goals against this Saturday in the return leg
of the first round Caf Champions League tie at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.
Pillars lost 4-0 in the first leg played in Morocco two weeks ago but
Mohammed the former Gombe United player insists that nothing stops his side
from scoring as many as four goals just like the Moroccan did a fortnight ago.
“We know what it is at stake and we the players have resolved to put
everything we have into the game to ensure that we get four goals or even
more that will enable us to advance to the next stage," Mohammed told Goal.
"We have been told that the magic is that we shouldn’t lose hope and that we
should keep on fighting until the very end.
He continued: “They made use of the weather to their advantage in the first leg
and we promise to do the same to them when they visit us on Saturday. We
will utilize all the chance we have and also keep our defence intact as we strive
to book a place in the next round.”
Kano Pillars best moment in the lucrative club competition was in their debut
campaign in 2009 when they got to the semi final before losing to rivals,
Heartland FC 5-0 on aggregate.
