ALHAJI Mohammed Dikko Yusufu Nigeria’s third indigenous Inspector General of Police, former presidential aspirant and a blue blood from Kastina State passed away on Wednesday, April 1 2015 after a protracted illness.

He was 85. Born of an aristocratic ancestry, by the time he grew into adulthood, after completing Arabic education in Kano, MD had been infected with radical idealism, courtesy of Sa’adu Zungur and Mallam Aminu Kano who were both leading members of Northern Elements Progressive union (NEPU). He joined NEPU in earnest and rose through the ranks to become its secretary in Katsina provinces.
